Yikes! That was one BIG baby Gemini!! I'd be scared too!!
My DS was 7 lb. 11 oz. I was induced and 4 hours later I had him. With DD, I was told-don't go anyplace further than 15 mins away from the hospital in the last month-they kept saying I'd have her in less than 2 hours. 17 hours later, they had to do an emergency C-section. She was 8 lb. 9 oz. She was trying to greet the world face up and got hung up and was having erratic heart rates.
DM-I had my tubes tied when I was open for my C-section. I would've loved to have had more kids, but my pregnancies nearly did me in. The dr. asked if I'd like to have my tubes tied while I was open, since it would save me money for a later operation. Being the bargain hunter I am, I looked at Buzz, than at the doctor and said, "Do it!!"
He also tried to tell me it'd save Buzz discomfort later too if he had to have the snip. I told him not to even try that one on me. After 17 hours, major back labor and throwing up, I didn't give a flying rat's butt if Buzz experienced any discomfort at all. Look how he's acting over this finger.
I think women swap birth stories because (for a lot of reasons) but you go through this horrendous pain, but you get a HUGE prize for doing it!!
A new little person to love. And later on when they get older- to yell at.

Don't get me wrong, I love my babies and was front & center at DW's delivery (not C-section) but I don't want to discuss that part..
And, they had been trying to delay labor for 48 hours, then decided that it wasn't working, so took me off the "stop juice." I wasn't dilated at all at 8:00 a.m when they did that. At about 10:30 a.m. I asked if I could be checked to see if I was at 3 cm for the epidural - well, I was fully dilated and had gone through transition, etc. with no painkillers.
