Back in '95, the Walt Disney company released a 22 minute or so featurette on their then new ride, the Indiana Jones Adventure. These videos contain all of that featurette in 3 separate portions. Staring two of Indy's costars from Raiders of the Lost Ark, Karen Allen and John Rhys-Davies, it features parts of the ride, some behind the scenes and interviews with George Lucas and Tony Baxter among others. I randomly stumbled upon this, and I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I did. :thumbsup2

Nobody found this interesting? D:

Oh well. At least I got a kick out of it. :goodvibes

Well I found it interesting!!
This is my husband`s favourite ride (and they are amongst his favourite movies)- I think he will get a kick out of it :)

Don`t you love it when you stumble upon things like this! :surfweb:

I loved it-think its a pity they haven't done a full refurb given how popular it still is - it really has stood the test of time. It would be great if they made all the special effects work properly again both on the ride and in the queue-and if they got approval from Lucas et al to incorporate some of Indy like Pirates (I know Pirates was easier as it was a Disney film).

How cool!!! Indy is my absolute favorite ride! And I just realized that Karen Allen also plays the mom in The Sandlot (my all time favorite movie)!!

This makes me even more excited for my upcoming trip! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for posting this! I just watched the first part and am looking forward to the others. Thanks again! :goodvibes

Very cool. Wish Disney Channel still did stuff like this!

Glad you guys enjoyed this. :) It was a ton of fun to watch through the first time, and hopefully anyone else also found it enjoyable.

When I was planning my first Disneyland trip months ago, Indy was my most anticipated attraction. I built it up so much, I was so afraid it was going to disappoint.

But you know what? It didn't. At all. It actually exceeded my sky-high expectations.

It was my first ride there, last ride before I left. With at least ten rides in between, on my three day visit.

And I can't wait to do it all over again.

Hard to believe an almost 20 year old attraction (In a few years) is still as popular as it is. On my visit I saw over 100 minute waits. At a "low peak time" of year.

I agree some effects need to be returned to full working order, while I was there, the diamond shaped rocks did nothing, one of Mara's eyes in the Chamber of Destiny was out, the lasers did not shoot from his eye while crossing the bridge either. But didn't they just put a new Indy audio-animatronic in? It's the scene where he's holding back the Gates of Doom. Anyone have any info on this?

Interesting films. But I was really hoping they would be more about the design and building of the attraction.

Funny seeing all the young tv/movie stars. I must look a lot older too.

Thanks for sharing these. :thumbsup2

I was hoping for that too...but if an casual park goer see this, they'll probably realize that Disney attractions actually have a story. And it's not just ride through the temple, scurry through the line, but enjoy all of the themeing. This is where I view it as a success. :thumbsup2
