So I have had a chance to wash my hair and also dye it again before my trip to Disney this weekend and I must say I love this stuff.
My hair is so soft so its worth the money to me just for that. I love not having the frizz. Now I still have to straighten my hair with a flat iron (i dont blow dry) but just in a few spots.
I would highly recommend this for the money

Yes - they'll do it. You can even call and ask for an 'appointment' so you don't have to wait. :thumbsup2

Best concealer? YSL Touche Eclat. Expensive - but again, pick it up and Sephora, return it if you don't like it. http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P218431

Sigh... Wish I had checked this thread before I left the house... Looked up that concealer/highlighter. Looks great! Just put it on my "to buy" list! Gosh, it never ends!

I was VERY disappointed when I asked at the Sephora store where their MAC shadows were to find out they don't carry MAC products anymore. :(

I'm telling you, I was LOST when I heard that news! I needed my DIS friends at that moment. I had no clue what to try or buy... I must have spent close to 2 hours in the store.

I ended up with 2 eye shadows from MUFE (a pinkish tan and a deep purple) and an eye shadow brush (larger than the one I currently have) and some Sephora concealer (a quad with 4 shades - pink, green, light tan, medium tan).

I had one of the consultants do up my eyes with the 2 colors I chose to make sure they were doable with my coloring. Looked really pretty (although a little lighter than what I would normally do... I'll probably add another layer of color when I do them myself). It was great fun to have my eyes done. Never have had any of my make-up done for me before. I really liked how she applied it - she didn't put any of the darker color on my lid - just in the crease and above. Makes my eyes stand out more, I think.

I hope I did well? Really disappointed that I didn't get a chance to try out the MAC paints...

Hi CR. Just wanted to let you know that I have the Old Navy dress in blue!

It's really comfortable and has held up nice to washing, etc. It is long though. I'm 5'6 and it hits my heel in the back - not sure how tall you are or what shoes you will wear - I've only worn it with flat sandals. Also, I couldn't find any type of bra to wear with it so I don't wear one - again, it's fine for me as I'm not big, but just wanted to throw that out there ;).

Of course, the price can't be beat and it is easily dressed up or down. Can't wait to hear what you end up picking!!

OMG you ARE ME!!

:rotfl2: You made me laugh out loud with this statement!! My twin! :rotfl2:

Finally looked up lanaindiana on youtube. Wow, she's gorgeous! Can't believe she's 53! I NOW see what you mean by the "v" in the eyes. Was not picturing that at all until I saw the video. I was amazed by one of her videos where she had no make-up on one of her eyes. The difference is AMAZING. If you cover up the left side of her face & just view her without eye make-up, she looks soooooo old, but when you cover up the right side of her face, she looks amazingly young and vibrant. I never realized how eye make-up alone can affect how old/young you look!

I ended up with this one:

I really liked the way this one looked on. And - I thought it was most 'concerty'?? Does that even make sense? :confused3

Love black dresses! Bet it will look gorgeous on you! Don't forget the flower! ;)

I'm thinking I'm going to buy the black one from Old Navy. I'm not brave enough to go strapless; otherwise I'd go with this one too. Always afraid someone's going to pull it in a crowd, lol.

Have fun!

I've been lurking on this thread...lots of great info here! I've got to try the Monistat trick.

What is this keratin treatment?

Thanks!

She is a little bit of a nut but I like to watch her. Really get the black either print or carbon and put just a tiny bit in the v and blend it really makes a difference when your eyes are deep set. I just started doing it and really see the difference. It does not show but only darkens that area and gives more dimension to the hightlight color. I will say it again...I LOVE YOUTUBE. Did you see the video where she has NO MAKE UP ON AT ALL?? It really does make a huge difference. Also I made a couple of her shadow shapers out of an index card and they really do help. I am going to get some felt and cut it to make one.

That's funny! I was thinking of making shadow shapers too, but couldn't figure out what to make it out of.

Any chance you can take a picture of your eye done up to send me?

I don't have any MAC carbon, but I might play around with another color just to get a feel for the technique.

Can you believe I drove an hour to Sephora and an hour back... and arrived home with both wrong colored eye shadows??? I *thought* I had a purple and a pink/beige, but when I opened the boxes to play, I had a green (really very pretty!) and a yellowish/white color!!! I cannot believe I was so stupid enough not to check the numbers on the boxes before purchasing!!

Anyways, think I'm going to put both on my eyes today just for fun before returning them to the store. Wish I could keep them AND buy the other two shades I intended to buy.... but I'm already pushing the limit with my purchases yesterday since DH has told me "no make-up for a while...." :rolleyes1

OT - But this is the only thread I'm subscribed too on an "Instant" basis because I want to know right away when someone posts. However, I don't always get the emails telling me about a new post. Does that happen to anyone else? I find I still have to locate the thread to see if there are new posts, and I was hoping to eliminate that.

My other subscribed threads are "Daily" and I NEVER get emails for any of them, LOL.

What's up with the email notification on DIS? Is there a problem that anyone knows of? Hopefully, this will get fixed soon...

Actually, I just remembered that I have some black eye shadow from Bare Escentuals that I NEVER use (loose powder is just too messy for me to deal with). I have it tucked away somewhere in one of my make-up bags of "forgotten" items... Going to dig that out and play around this morning. :goodvibes

I don't understand the point of the felt?

Have Ijust not had enough coffee this morning? (that's possible  )

You can go on the main DISBoards page and click on the "User CP" tab- it will pull up all of your subscribed threads that have new posts on them. I like that method better than getting emails, and it doesn't really take up any more time.

So, I went to the mall tonight for some girl time with my DD and ended up buying more makeup. :rolleyes1 I didn't need more makeup, but I bought it anyway.

I got MAC Lip Balm in Full of Grace and a MAC Mineralize Blush in Hand Finish

I like the lip balm. It is not sticky, but it is glosssy and stays a while. So, that was a good purchase.

I also got some stuff at Victoria Secret. Never have tried any of the makeup from them, but thought I'd give it a shot.

I got a eye shadow primer, three eye shadows, a nail polish and a lip gloss for DD.

I think I need some intervetion. :lmao:

Drive by posting.... since I'm still tipsy. :rolleyes1

The Jimmy BUffet concert was seriously AWESOME! I had the best time, ever!!!

If you havent gone - and have the chance - GO!!!

I had so much fun!!! :cool1:

See you ladies tomorrow.....after coffee and asprin!!!
