Check out TJ Maxx and Marshall's. They had tons of Chi Hair products and they also had a mini mini babyliss flat iron. It is about 6 inches long and about 3/4 in wide to fit in a draw or a purse. It is great for bangs and touchups, the cost was 24 99. Always check out M and TJ you never know what they will have.
Also, I 'seasoned" my flat iron with a thin coat of Morrocan oil and it really works much better on my hair. I had never thought about this but if I put a little oil on the iron it hits all the hair as opposed to putting it on my hair which makes it a hit or miss as to whether I get the whole shaft.
I consider hair as a part of make up.
