Alright.... okay... now that i'm looking at the title, it seems a little negative and it's not supposed to be. maybe i'll change it...

Okay. Two of my sisters just had babies. So... by next year, they will be either just shy of one year or one year and some change.
They do not count as guests, right? As far as I can tell, they don't count for anything to Disney... like they are magically invisible to Disney until they reach a certain age?

ooh okay, now I thought of a better title. haha, now you don't have to see the negative sounding one.

So... anybody have any clarity into the magical ages of when someone is considered a person and then when someone is considered an adult and stuffs?

I know that in Disney-speak a kid isn't a kid anymore when he reaches 10 yrs (at least when it comes to buying passes). Kids under 3 get into the parks for free so they might be these invisible people that you speak of :lmao: For receptions it might be different because you'd still probably order a kids meal for a child that was 2. As a mom, I wouldn't expect anyone to order a meal for my kid that was under 2. I'd just share my own dinner (or more likely feed her something before we go because toddlers are picky!)

Also, children 2 and under don't count towards a Memories wedding guest count. So I'd say 2 and under doesn't count (is "invisible" as you say lol)

oh! I should say that we have decided to upgrade from Memories to Escape so that I can have my family there. So it's the Escape package and there is no dinner to worry about.

Children under 3 don't count towards minimums but let your planner know they are coming bc they will still get a children's meal at the reception. I had 7 children at my reception but only paid for 3 children plates because they were over 3. The under 3 kids still got their own plate of food I just didn't pay for it.
