I can't believe 2 weeks from today we will be heading to DISNEY!

You poor thing!! I am sorry I hope you feel better, and fast! I haave been taking vitamin c. On top of my multivitamin. Pick up some vitamin c it will help to make you feel better. Once you get better, continue it!!

Only 12 more days my friend. Only 12 more days. I cannot believe it!!! Today is my cutoff date to be totally packed. I hope I can get it done.

You've gotta love those South of the Border signs with Pedro, I remembered them from when I was a kid and then years later was surprised to still see them there. Do they still have the signs for Stuckey's if it's still open, I remember seeing a lot of them so we finally stopped at ate there and the food was terrrible. Linda

Stuckeeeeeeey's!! I use to be so excited to see that sign. As a child my mom, and my aunt would take me for the drive down to pick up my cousin from Hampton College. They would always pull over to Stuckey's for me, on the way back up to NY. Because,I was infatuated with this place. I would start my Stuckey's chants for miles, as I saw the first sign. As you know it was much of nothing. But, they did a good job of advertising . We never ate there. But, I was allowed to get a pecan roll. Truth be told, it was oversweet, I could never finish a quarter of it. It was not really that great. But, it was just something about getting that oversweet pecan roll from Stuckey'.
Memories.

I have family who live in VA beach, and Suffolk. But, for the life of me. Even though I have been down to VA twice this year. I cannot remember if Stuckey's is still there. But, I don't think so. If I would have seen it. I would have probably pulled over to show the kid's some of my memories, as a child. I of course could be wrong. Stuckey's wow.

I was looking at the LeCellier menu (because the nut that I am I printed out all the menus for the sitdowns and counter services that we are eating at) It sounds like the mushroom filet mignon has the mushroom only in the risotto? Or is it on the filet as well? Even though I don't like mushroom the sauce sounds better than the one filet mignon with the maple barbecue sauce. I have'nt even had lunch yet and this is making me very hungry Linda

Linda, the mushrooms are in the risotto. Also, there is truffle oil, to pull everything together. This dish, is like oh my goodness. Delicious. It is over the top. I cannot even look at anything else on the menu. I don't even want to. But, with that said, if you really do not like mushrooms. I would not order it. I want you enjoy your meal there. If you can stomach mushroom taste however. Hands down get it. The flavors mixed together are out of this world!!

The chocolate cake. Is a dark chocolate, but not overly heavy. The anglaise served with it, cuts through the richness of the cake. The whisky is not overly strong at all. Simply delicious. Mmmmmm.

I have 2 adr's that I will be cancelling. I figured since we are all going to be there at the same time I would offer it to the Disser's I will be meeting on my Disney Vacatation. Let me know if anyone is intrested before I post on another thread.
I have 2 tables at 50's Prime Time for Aug 28 at 2:55 party of 8
I also have a CRT for Aug 31 at 8:55 am party of 8, I think this is 2 tables also.
And I do have a question on the CRT ressie. If I transfer to another person how would I do It, you need A Credit Card to confirm? Is it just easier to try and call at the same time, have me cancel and her/him book it? Any help on this is greatly appreciated. Thanks Ahead of time.

I'm feeling sorry for myself

Well yesterday was a great day to begin with,, I got up to the postman delivering a huge parcel and I wondered what the heck it was,, it turns out that I won a disneystore comp and won a remote control black pearl!!! Cameron is having so much fun with it,,, and her brother Curtis too!!!
Anyway, later in the day, my foot started to hurt, it swelled up to the size of a balloon, then my big toe just started to ooze, it was horrible I called my doctors and they said that they couldn't fit me in till friday,,, ARRRRGGGHHH I am going to disney in less than 2 weeks and cannot afford to have painful feet!!!
So I went to the hospital emergency room and was left waiting for over 6 hours I eventually got out at 2am, the doctor there thought it could be an insect bite and gave me some antibiotics. I got home, took one of the pills and went to bed,,,,,,
20 minutes later I woke up in agony, my stomach felt like it was on fire, I have spent all night and all today really sick. I think it may have been a reaction to the antibiotics :
So today was supposed to be my packing day, but guess what nothing has gotten done, my house looks like a circus has been through it

Sorry guys to bring down the party,, but I had to have a little vent

Looking on the bright side,,, the swelling on the foot is going down, so I should be ok by the time we leave

Nooooo, you can't be ill!! Loads of pixie dust coming your way!!! Now, should your foot still give you troubles be sure to rent a wheelchair! No need to walk on a foot that will make you miserable. It'll also get you head of the line priviledges on most attractions and don't feel guilty about head of the line priviledges because it takes longer to manuever through the parks in a wheelchair. Take care of yourself and get well!!!! Pixie dust coming your way!

Oh...congrats on the winnings!

On a side note...I became ill yesterday and ended up having to run to Urgent Care. I have sinusitis and bronchitis. They gave me powerful antibiotics so should be plenty well before we leave. I'm finally in the single digits! WooHoo! Single digit dance!! 9 more days!

Mariaeller,,,, oh no, not you too I hope the antibiotics work soon and you are ok. I have asthma, and quite often get bronchitis and sinusitis,, not nice at all
The foot is so much better now, probably because I have had my feet up all day,, still sick, but feeling a bit better than I was this morning,, I'm hoping I will be ok tomorrow.

I have a little bit of inside info for you guys, I haven't posted it anywhere else yet as it as not been confirmed in any way,,, but,,,, someone I have been speaking to has connections with the TA I'm travelling with,,, they claim on the 23rd Aug free dining will be advertised on their site for 08. I booked this time last year for free dining,, I don't know why but it always seems to be released to UK customers before the US, but the US usually follows. Sooo I will be checking out the website and if free dining does come up, I will let everyone here know straight away. I know it is only a rumour at this stage, but I do hope its true, I was beginning to think it may not be offered next year because of the changes, but fingers crossed

Traci, I heard the same thing. About it being offered. I am on the line about whether I would take it or not. I did promise Cherish we would all go in 2008. But, I have been pricing out cruises. So, I dont know.

Onto Disney..
Hmm, I could go on my birthday. To eat for free!! I could not stay at a value. If all 5 of us went, anyway. Hmm, I could pitch this to the hubby, and he would probably be a go. Since, he agreed to go to Disney with all of us in 2008. Plus, I would not have to pull the kids out of school. Something to ponder.

I am trying to weigh this all against. What the DH really wants, and that is to go cruising, again. We shall see. It looks pretty hopeful that Free DDP will be returning next year!! Can I actually pass it up though. Is the question. No appetizer's or tip. On a cruise. I have to tip, but you can have all the appetizers, and courses you want! Decisions, decisions...

Well the dates are definately better for me, if we went on aug 10th, I would be back in plenty of time for school, I'm a bit put off having to stay in a higher priced resort as there are only 3 of us.
Egypt is a much cheaper holiday for us than Disney, but when faced with FREE dining I am struggling,, I mean, how many years are they gonna offer it for free??? I am disappointed with the appetizers and tips, but if the dining is free, then it will still be saving me lots of money. Plus, if I were to go to Egypt, it would have to be in winter,, the summers there are well over 100 degrees and I couldn't cope with that

I have just been pricing up next year at Disney on my TA's website and I think they have made an error,,,Wilderness lodge is coming up way cheaper than the values,,, e.g. pop is coming out at £740 and wildnerness lodge is coming out at £620 : Well, if I could get WL for that price, I'm there Yeah I know I'm dreaming,, although I have printed the screen to prove that it was there!
