It wouldn't surprise if DCL decided to suspend bookings on that date just in case more time is needed.

That's what my concern is now. At first I was hoping they pulled it to release rooms, but now I'm starting to think we may be in jeopardy.

Sad for everyone that had reservations. Chin up as we are all fortunate enough to be able to take cruise vacations, unlike the majority of people in this world.

According to the USA piece: full refund, compensation for airfare changes, AND a free cruise in the next few months or a 35% discount past that?! WOW.

Is the free cruise on the Magic or any DCL cruise? Planning would be easier if it were on any cruise in the next few months.

What if you booked OGT? Would it be any ocean view room (they don't always have OGT on cruises)?

Also, does it have to be a 5-night Magic cruise or can it be any Magic cruise? The last 5-night Magic cruise between now and May 2014 sails on 12/22/2013.

Is 10/27 sold out? I know it just disappeared this morning, but when I was checking last night, there seemed to be a lot of rooms available. Doesn't show any indication of unassigned rooms, so maybe all the XGT filled the ship.

Sorry to hear your 10/20 cruise is no longer.

I think you may find that DCL will suspend bookings on the 10/27 as they may have found something is amiss on the TA journey over, the 2nd cruise maybe under threat of cancelation also, fingers crossed it's not.

DCL is saying 5-night Magic. You would have to call them for anything not in public press releases.

It can be a 3 or 4 night on the Magic. I got through to them about my reservation that was cancelled.

So sorry for everyone missing their cruise. The magic was behind schedule before leaving Barcelona. There were a lot of extra contractors on board for the TA. I'm glad they are being proactive in fixing what needs to be done before allowing guests to sail.

The compensation seems to be fair. I hope everyone gets to rebook and enjoy their cruise.

2) 10/27 cruise on the Magic booked and is free.

3) Our TA is trying to book us on the 10/20 Dream using the funds from the 10/20 Magic refund.

Does it suck? Yep. Always a silver lining tho. Palo brunch was booked with friends in concierge in the private room. Parasailing & a CC cabana were booked. Hotel was booked (already rescheduled). For us, it's a win still. Still pumped!!!!

I am right there with you. We are rebooked and the silver lining is we get to spend Halloween on the Magic! Got our Palo also, so no worries. Littled bummed about not getting two days at CC, but we picked up an extra sea day, so that will give us more time to check out the ship!

I booked (don't know if we're doing this one for sure, but we can still modify it or switch to a longer cruise up to 7-nights and do the 35% off instead) our 'free' cruise and they had to book us in to the same Cat. stateroom that we had on the 10/20 Magic sailing and I was assigned a specific room in that Cat. already.

Only bummer for us though is that all the open rooms that would have gotten XGT upgrades, or in the upper categories (i.e. A's), will be gone. We most likely will now get 9D (Deck 1), but that's what we expect, and anyone booking OGT should expect, when we book OGT (any room in that category - figure the lowest). But glad to have a whole group of nice DISers on the ship.

So we moved our OBB from 10/20 Magic to 10/20 Dream. Driving Sunday AM to PC.

Get off Dream 10/24 & drive to Miami; stay in hotel.

Board the Magic (hopefully) for the 10/25 2-night.

Stay on board (B2B) for 5-night Halloween cruise 10/27 FOR FREE.

I'd say we definitely SCORED and have the BEST TA.

If it makes you feel better I lost my veranda from my cancelled cruise, now in a 9B
