We are a cat family. Thomas is aged 15. He and Matt have grown up together.
Matt has been away at University since last October, if Thomas gets chance to go upstairs he sits outside Matt's bedroom door and meows.

A few pics here from a few years back and a link to more.

So, what I have been thinking about is landing at CDG, storing the two big bags at the Luggage Storage place and then just taking the High-speed train into DLP with the carry-on. If I pack it correctly, the carry-on can get me through the 3 days at DLP. As to whether to stay at DLP or in Paris, I would think about if you want to stay for the evening fireworks or see the Buffalo Bill Wild West show; that might make for a late train trip back into Paris proper. According to the website, it is a 12-min ride from CDG to DLP.

So - at this point - the game plan is:

Land at CDG - store the two checked bags, hop on the high-speed train to DLP with the carry-on. Wednesday morning we'll do it in reverse and then fly on to Barcelona. As Karyn said, at this point, Air France seems to be the best bet - although the luggage fees will add up. I'm not worried about the weight as I can split it among the 3 bags (carry-on gets repacked when I get the other bags out of storage).

Cristi

Hi Cristi!!

Was just searching on the web for the Paris airport. And just read that they have suspended luggage storage due to anti-terrorism. I do not know if that is still current, but if it is, it's too bad. Your idea of leaving luggage their was a GREAT one:(

Not to stray too far from our main topic, but I would like to say that I am so so excited as this time next week the Magic will be mine!!

I am so jealous. Everytime you and others talk about the Med cruises. But I wish you a wonderful time on the "old" Magic. We shall see her back when she is new next year.

This is Maisey Pink .... our part-time doggy friend. She is almost 1 year old and is a Chesapeake Bay retriever. She is actually my Mum's dog but we have a lot to do with her. I think she must have been a cat in a previous life as she definitely has a hidden agenda.

She was a very cute puppy

She is cute

This is our dog. We got her last november. She was from my aunt who passed away and nobody could have her, so I took her to my home. She is 12 years old now and her name is Floortje. She have to go the "dog hairdresser" (I don't know the English word for it). We will be going soon. I then will take a new picture and show it here.

Floortje on nov 2012, march 2013 and now may 2013

Here that call it a dog groomer.

She is such a cutie. I love dogs with the flopsy hair look. They look so precious.

Someone else mentioned their black cat not showing well in pictures- totally agree. It never captures their cuteness. We tried white backgrounds and everything.

Liesbeth she is so cute. Especially with all that fluffy hair

How did you find sleeping on the train? Were you able to? Is it a fairly smooth ride? If it was easy enough to sleep, it might be more of a consideration. I need to know that I could get good sleep :

We did have a private stateroom with beds and TV and a private bathroom. Imagine an inside stateroom from Disney ships but 1/3 of size. So it was confortable and we had privacy. But if does shake and when the train stops you get to feel a big bump like movement.

We left Orlando around 4 pm December 23rd and arrived in NY Dec 24th so it was like the Polar Express, everybody was wishing Merry Christmas.

We were able to sleep fine, had dinner and breakfast on the train lots of beer too.

Oh Floortje is so sweet. What is the translation of her name x x

Hope it's not too late to join in here? I'm Debbie and I'm from Ireland. I recently took the plunge and booked my first Disney Cruise for October (5 night Caribbean on the magic) and after all the excitement and planning for this cruise I have decided to book onto the WBTA cruise when we are on board the magic in October. So hope you don't mind me jumping on board a bit prematurely lol x

This is our wonderful Walter Elias Disney - AKA Walter. We got him through the rescue shelter last August. He was found wandering the streets and when he arrived there, his left eye was so badly lacerated that they removed it. His right eye has a cataract, and he is quite deaf to most sounds, but all this makes us love him more!! They estimated by his teeth that he must be about 7 yrs old. Your cats could walk right in front of him and he would probably turn the other way. He appears to be a Llasa Apso, according to our vet.

Welcome Debbie to our cruise thread. We are so happy that you will plan to join us. Caroline

http://goo.gl/WKRnm This is the album for my pet pics :)

annie.jpg

Annie the kitty - you can't appreciate her size until you notice the size of the ornaments and the tree size in another picture.

gilmore2.jpg

The whole family, including my swedish son. Gilmore is the beagle mutt by my DD and DH. He was such a good boy.

gilmore4.jpg

The boy in the picture is now 13, but I just love this picture of them. They were best friends in the whole world.

nina.jpg

This is my Nina-bean. Her fur is short in this photo. The breed's fur, if you let it grow out, naturally dreadlocks. Her full name is La Menina de Canela y Azúcar - which means the Handmaid Cinnamon and Sugar. We got her first and one of my favorite paintings is Las Meninas.

nina2.jpg

Fur longer here, we usually though do not cord them. We instead shear them 2x/year

puppies.jpg

Babies curled up together

pupsxmas.jpg

Declan, Ciarrai, Nina and Snoopy last x-mas. Now you can see how small that tree is and how small it makes the cat.

snoops.jpg

Snoopers looking cute. Her full name is La Menina de Galletas y Crema. It translates to the handmaid Cookies and Cream.

He's adorable! I love "special needs" dogs. On behalf of rescuers everywhere, thank you for adopting him! :flower3:

She is so cute!! How kind of you to take her in. A couple of ours are due for haircuts, too.

We have a senior dachshund whose first owner died, then the people who took him went to a nursing home, and several phone calls later, he came to live with us. We were originally going to foster him, but decided he had been through enough different homes, so he's our boy now.

We're fostering a young Chihuahua whose owner passed away. The owner's daughter literally put the dog out on the street. He's a very sweet boy and we know he'll find a permanent home soon. I really don't understand how people can be so heartless toward animals.

Welcome! Never too late to join. Where do you live in Ireland? Both of my grandfathers came from Ireland. I've been to the rest of the UK, but not there. Someday, though...
