I am looking into a hotel in San Juan... Most of the boutique hotels require a 2 nights stay however, so I will be looking at larger places... I will put you on the Interested in San Juan hotel list...

Hi all, it's Mothers Day here in the UK so I'm spending some time with my lovely girlie here at home. Apparently she's making me a special afternoon tea later, with all the trimmings. it's even more special as she's not been too well.

Wishing all you other mums out there a peaceful day, with your human or fur babies!

Think Secret Santa - but obviously secret mickey being Disney and all.

The organizer will get information from those that want to participate (favorite color, favorite hobby, favorite character, etc) and each participant is assigned a certain person. You can purchase little surprises for that person and leave them for them (in 2010 I purchased several things and left them throughout the cruise while my Secret Mickey left me something every day - sometimes just a lollipop or piece of candy, etc). We organized a luncheon the last sea day of the cruise where we revealed who had who!!

A lot of fun!!!

I haven't checked in for a couple of weeks, so I know what you mean I am hoping to make the Mixology list too, but am so excited to see I'm on the Champagne Girl's list I attended the original Champagne Girls party on my first cruise and have been lucky to be able to attend a couple more since

Hope you're feeling better soon, know what you mean about the weather, we havent got it as bad as you so far, but i woke up this morning and it was snowing/raining again, and we're due to get more in the next few days. Absolutely incredible!! The last time we walked the full circumference of it, the lines to purchase tickets were so long, and we did not have the time to wait. This time, I will find out how to purchase tickets in advance.....

If you find out how to get tickets in advance let me know. We also didn't have the time to wait on the long line so we just skipped it. Only saw it from the outside on the bus.

I know it's possible to purchase tickets on-line in advance, but there are still lines once you get in, if you want to go up in the elevators, with waits up to a couple of hours. I don't recall all the details about the elevators and what you see from the upper levels. I think I read about it in one of Rick Steves' books. We'll probably just get the basic go-inside ticket and look around a bit. Unless we win the lotto and go a week ahead of time, then I'll hire a guide as see everything!
