UKAngel - sorry to hear your troubles. I hope it straightens out soon. I am very much looking forward to meeting you as I am a Champagne Girl-to-be.

!

Thank you, that's very kind :)

Thanks for the warm welcome, we did the WB in 2010 and did post on the requisite thread a few times, but I find these threads quite overwhelming (as someone who feels they have to try and read every message). I'll try and keep up this time I promise. Having studied the brief champagne girl's manifesto I've decided DW has always been one, she just doesn't know it yet so I'll have to try and persuade her onto the boards.

It's our anniversary on Sept 4th the day we arrive in Barcelona so will be waiting to celebrate once we arrive on board. The sail away party can be your celebration and we can all toast you!!

.

My birthday is Aug 30, and our anniversary is Sept 19... I foresee lots of celebrating!!!party:party:party:

Our anniversary is also 19th Sept :dance3:

Oh our anniversary is 3rd September - but will definitely be celebrating on board - 37 years, so a glass of bubbly definitely in order.

A glass or two for sure ;)

Our anniversary isn't until November but we'll be celebrating it anyway!

And our 37th :hourglass will be October 8th, but, hey, a month early is fine:cheer2:

Hope that everything is OK!

I will vouch for you guys!! Cant wait to see you again! We may even be able to catch up over an adult beverage as the kids will not be tagging along... :)

This was Glenn and I - well, honestly - it was all Glenn... We talked about it briefly... Not sure if he was looking to do it this time or not as what we had done was in a form that not many places support these days... (Maybe he will see this and reply?)

Thanks for having my back!! Hopefully, we'll get to spend more time with you guys this time, since the littles aren't coming on this one. :) You totally know where to find us!

oh, I did love Glenn's website, :cool1: but I understand that it's time consuming and a royal pain in the bum! Or, just not even possible. I had thought it was Glenn that uploaded our picture for us!

For those who weren't on the 2010 WBTA, Sue organized a BOATLOAD of activities for us and was a QUEEN COORDINATOR!

Jodie, that's my cue as you are taking the words right out of my mouth! I just said pretty much the same on FB, just wanted to repeat here: We also always request a table for just the two of us for dinner (unless we are traveling with a group of friends). I love to chat at dinner, but DH is very much the quiet type, and speaking English becomes more stressful for him late in the day when he is tired.

So we will try and be seated with the rest of you on late dining, on the same rotation and in the same area, but still request a table for two. Please don't take that amiss, and if you happen by, please do stop for a chat if you feel like it! :flower3:

Yes, I can attest to that - it really was fun! I promise to be better next time - as in, definitely still enjoy drinking at Signals, but also make it to the meet. If you like, we can try and drag you with us to the DIS meet, drink in hand! :thumbsup2

I hope everything will be alright!

ok, it's a deal! We will make sure we make it to the meet. After Signals.

I wish I had taken pictures of that since we had so much fun!

Sorry to hear you are having problems :grouphug:

You guys do make me giggle :rotfl2::rotfl2: I have a feeling we may just bump into you occasionally at the bar :thumbsup2

I so want to post that pic of the 6 of us having drinks at Diversions! it's one of my faves!
Not quite:thumbsup2

We had arrangements at the pier, and left home about 10 AM. It was a Friday morning, and you never know about traffic. Even though mileage is less via the Lincoln Tunnel, I opt for the GW Bridge - more "alternate" routes, and then you avoid NYC surface streets, with the added bonus of spotting "our" MAGIC as we come south on the West Side Highway. Lucky day, clear roads, and we were parked and awaiting check-in to open by 10:35. They opened by 11, and we were onboard, seated at the very stern outside in Cabanas just before noon:banana:

I have been boating in and around NY harbor my entire life. I have seen the Statue of Liberty and the NYC skyline from my own boat, boats I've captained, cruise ships, airliners, private planes, and helicopters.
IT NEVER GETS OLD !
Debbie told everyone "Ken just had to see it with the Mouse". And we did, and it was great - I was on deck by 5 at the end of the two-day to "nowhere", just after we passed under the Verazzano-Narrows Bridge. Now, (pay attention, DCL), we're waiting for the 2015 itineraries :surfweb:to bring a ship back to NYC, and include Bermuda as a port:hourglass

We head out your way occasionally, but more often get off 78 to take 202 into PA towards Bucks County to meet up with our Philly friends that we met on the 2010 EBTA. Plenty of wineries and nice restaurants and B&B's that way. You certainly live in a beautiful part of the state - it's what we tell others about when all they think of NJ is what they see by Newark Airport:sad1: Then again, if I show someone a photo of my boat in The Bronx, no one believes it's in NYC, either:thumbsup2

We are hoping for the Magic or Wonder to come back to NYC! We loved it! That is how we met Annika and Chris...they were on the same B2B cruises out of NYC with us.

Are you considering sailing on Norwegians new ship, the Breakaway by any chance?

Yes, Newark is rather the armpit of NJ, isn't it? What wineries do you go to? Not Three Sisters, I hope?!

Just booked the WBTA 2014. Very excited to be on this cruise! Please add us to the roll call:

Chipmunklove
Jennifer and Dale Anderson
Stateroom #7627

Looking forward to meeting everyone and having a great time!

Welcome to the party!!

ok, my last post took 28 minutes to post! I need to get to a desk top!

I can't believe it!! I'm soooooo excited to see this cruise!! And I can't believe you all are so organized already! This is my favorite cruise and I'm looking forward to all of it! Have fun planning, newbies rest assured you will love this trip. So excited for new ports too. Overall theme - super excited!! :rotfl::cheer2:

yes, me too and it is my favourite ship too...:goodvibes

Well, yesterday I was thinking of all my buddies in the UK! :flower3:

The luncheon I went to was for the royal chef Darren McGrady - chef to the Queen and then Princess Di (at Kensington) for many years. He told lots of fun stories about the royal family, it was very entertaining. And we got to sample "royal" food from his cookbook including a lovely bread & butter pudding. :goodvibes

Disney sidenote, Darren McGrady's book is available in the UK section of Epcot. Now I can say "hey, I met the guy who wrote that book!" :snooty:

Then a few hours later I had a business Skype call with some Arbonne team members in the UK. It was an international day!

I'm not Sherri, just wanted to chime in here: I LOVE Villains Tonight! It's my absolute favourite show so far on DCL! (Granted, I haven't seen the shows on the Wonder yet ...)

We will soon! I can't wait to see the Wonder shows, but only a few months now Annika!

Yes, Liz, pacing is very important (life lesson:thumbsup2). Training is important, too. Looks like I need to get a bottle of blue curacao to be making drinks for Debbie, as well as multiple bottles of Rosa Regale'.
(Question for Champagne Girls :can that sub in for Champagne?, it's her favorite "sparkly", first had it on the MAGIC)

In the end I only had 2 glasses, so I did pace myself....maybe a little too much pacing actually. I guess that's better than overdoing it!

Thanks! It was quite fun!

Okay here are a small presentation of us, will put pictures in later

I'm Christina and I'm 27 years
My boyfriends name is Kasper and he is 36
We are traveling alone, and leave our dog Walter (we find the name before the dog). He is a Danish/Swedish farmdog. He is 2 1/2 yo.
I have been to dlp almost 60 times and Kasper 4 times. We loves Disney, and we try to make it all Disney at home.
We have our 5 years anniversary the 6 September 2014
We can't wait

Welcome! I think you write very well in English! :goodvibes

Sounds fab, enjoy!

Thanks! It was a lot of fun!

My mom had emergency knee surgery today to clean out an infection in her knee joint. I'm at the hospital keeping her company. She is still sleeping soundly from all of the lovely meds. She'll be here for several more days until the infection is under control.
I'm glad the surgery is over.

Hope that mom is doing okay! Infections are scary things.

We had the first series in the UK and I totally loved it ... but so far we haven't had the second series which is driving me crazy as I know it is out there in USA.
:mad::mad:

I know I asked you on Facebook, but I don't remember what you said. They don't have Hulu or Hulu Plus in the UK? That is where I watch all of my Once Upon A Time episodes. :thumbsup2

What is the last thing you saw? Tell me where you are in the plot.

I may have an idea, but sshhh on the details.
Skye

OMG, are you watching too? Nobody I know watches and I'm really itching to talk to somebody about recent events on the show. :hyper:

I'm one of the few who really liked it as well. I thought it was so funny!

I bought the first season and absolutely loved it. Couldn't keep up with the second season in tv so waiting anxiously for it to end and be available to purchase.

You can watch all of the second season episodes on Hulu. I don't typically have time to watch on Sunday, and oh yeah, I don't have cable! So I watch online or on my kindle or on my tv with HuluPlus.

Maybe I'm a weirdo, but I really like the character Rumplestiltzskin (sp?) - he is endearing IMO and there's a lot more layer there than with other characters (like prince david lets say.)

Not a weirdo, I really like Rumple too. Lots of depth to his character, I love all the stories they've intertwined with his.

Oh our anniversary is 3rd September - but will definitely be celebrating on board - 37 years, so a glass of bubbly definitely in order.

How funny is that...our anniversary 4th Sept and we will be celebrating 38 years!

Rosa Regale All Round - cheers!

I am seeing a lot about the Champagne Girls. I am not a huge fan of champagne but do like bubbly drinks. Is it all regular champagne or some "other" bubblies?

Just changed our Avatar to the same one as we use on Facebook. For the new cruisers I am Sue Powell on Facebook.

My husband Richard set up the Disboard hence the name BabyDiver (although he has been a diver for 40+ years) but I do most of the posts here as well as FB.

Since I last wrote regarding diving we have had quite a few new cruisers join us on this so once again he has asked me to mention if there is anybody interested in the diving packages for any of the islands they could Buddy up.

We both loved the blue lanyards we had for the WBTA 2011 (thanks Noel) and hope we have the same nice thin soft ribbons as I sometimes get neck pain and can't wear jewellery or even scarves and those as they were so comfortable to wear.

a BIG THANK YOU once again to those who are organising things. Can't wait to meet you all next year or possibly the UK guys sometime before?????? :grouphug:

Our anniversary isn't until November but we'll be celebrating it anyway!

Its a great day!! It will be 22 years for us, and this will be the first vacation
without kids since, well, we had kids! Talk about a celebration!!

And our 37th :hourglass will be October 8th, but, hey, a month early is fine:cheer2:

Our Anniversary is on 1 October and we'll be celebrating for our 20th Anniversary and that why my husband booked it for our special ...

One mass celebration.. It will be our 27th :)

mmm Rosa Regale.. looking forward to a few of these. :cheer2:

ok, it's a deal! We will make sure we make it to the meet. After Signals.

Ahhh, Signals - dibs on third stool from the left! Hope the weather cooperates!

We are hoping for the Magic or Wonder to come back to NYC! We loved it! That is how we met Annika and Chris...they were on the same B2B cruises out of NYC with us.

Cool ! We only got in the 2-day in May. REALLY hope she comes back

Are you considering sailing on Norwegians new ship, the Breakaway by any chance?

Hadn't even thought about it. Waiting to see if we become a fan of the huge ships, only one on DREAM so far, will be on Explorer of the Seas at the end of March. How about you?

Yes, Newark is rather the armpit of NJ, isn't it? What wineries do you go to? Not Three Sisters, I hope?!

Not that one (why, no good? where? is there a Four Sisters as well?), was most recently at Sand Castle over the river in PA, and have been to Cape May, Tomasello, and Renault. And a handful of breweries as well:thumbsup2

Welcome to the party!!
