The Magic is Back - Share your Experience! Superthread

Walked out of the park about ten mins ago and am about to leave DTD. My last few pics. Who knows when I’ll be this way again?!?! (Probably no more than a month ;-)).

Thank you for your reports of your visits WonkaKid and for taking the time to post all of your great photos - they were so nice to see.
Glad you enjoyed your visits and I'm sure you'll be back sooner rather than later!

I picked up a few map sets - I was told that they can only give out two (but they gave me three :-)). I’m happy to mail a set to anyone who’d like one :-). PM me your preferred mailing address and I’ll get ‘em off to you.

This is great news! There are still quite a number of things that are closed, so reopening dining, shops, stands, and carts will bring some additional liveliness to the parks. I miss the easy availability of fruit to snack on!

I wonder if Paradise Garden Grill will open with their regular menu or if they’ll have a modified festival-style menu like Smokejumpers. As of last Saturday the regular menu was posted in the park, but the festival menu is what’s on the app.

If the virtual queue goes well with Indy they should consider it for other attractions who have lines that spill into the walkways. The line for Pirates extended all over NOS Saturday. It made the area look busy but it was just because the line was all outdoors.

That depends... You can only get in the virtual queue once per day, but if they turn the queue off, then you could get in line for it.

That seems overly complicated. If they have a standby still available, what's the point of a virtual queue? Is this the new FastPass system? And if they decide to turn it off, how do people know or do we just have to keep checking the app throughout the day?

Hypothetical questions I'm thinking out loud, not asking you specifically! :)

I hear ya, those were also what seemed more like hypotheticals in the article as well. Will be interesting to see it play out.

I will be interested to hear how getting there about that time works. I believe I live fairly close to you and was thinking maybe leaving around 8. We are going on Tuesday!

So, we left home at 8:22. It was almost 90 minutes later that we finally walked into Disneyland. What an ordeal! Parking took FOREVER (although we were pixie dusted with free parking), and that walk to the park is a slog, to put it mildly.

But you are going on a weekday, so it shouldn't be too bad. Weekends, you have to plan to arrive at the structure by 7:45 to have any hope of making it into the parks by 9.
