The MAGIC is Back!!! - 6th Sept 2014 WBTA - Come & join the fun! - PART 2

Do you mean straight after the cruise on Saturday 20th from San Juan to Manchester?
Most popular route seems to be via Frankfurt, the one I would opt for has a 1hr 5 min connection which should be fine but if you did miss it there are other connections to Manchester the same day. http://www.kayak.co.uk/flights/SJU-MAN/2014-09-20

Yes flying back on the 20th unless I can wing a extra night somewhere. I was looking at one which stoped in Dulles but its the can I get my bags and kids off one plane and checked onto another in the time scale. I have never had to change planes before so this is all new to me and a bit scary. I am probably worrying over nothing.

It would be all down to cost for me. Just had a quick look thru the link I posted, via Frankfurt the cost is showing at £344pp, via Dulles £832pp.

Don't worry about your luggage that is checked thru to your final destination(Manchester) you just need to get off one plane and onto another.

Mixology Tasting!

I will be heading up the private Mixology tasting group. If you are interested in joining this tasting, please send me the following information: Your FULL name and anyone else joining you, Your dis name (if you have one), and Your cabin number. Look forward to a good time!

*I'm not sure if we are limited to signing up for one tasting for mixology or if they will allow us 2 tastings on the WBTA. I know there is a limit of how many people are in each tasting (I thing 49 people is the max....) Just wanted to let everyone know just in case they don't make the final list. There will be many people dropping out and signing up for the tasting.....just keep the faith....hopefully everyone will make the final list! :)

****Am now needing everyone on this list to PM me that you are still wanting to join the mixology tastings. I will need your room number (if you know it and it's not on this list, and your DCL reservation number. Please, please PM me on facebook or here on disboards.......don't leave a post.......I may not see it. I would really appreciate it! :)

Hi there. Per the original message, the best way is to send them a Private Message (PM). You can do that by clicking on their name on the left hand side of the screen next to their post and then selecting "Send a Private Message". It took me a while to figure all this out as well, so we all understand!

Oh thats good to know. I thought I might of had to go through the check in process twice and has eased my fears.

I think once I have done it I will be thinking to myself "and what was all the fuss about"

I'd love to take a tour like this as well, but it seems that all the tour operators request a minimum age of 5 to participate in those tours
If anyone got me a tip for a toddlerfriendly tour operator, I'd be one happy Momma :wave2:

I agree the trip is starting to feel more real! I don't think you'll have trouble getting a Palo brunch - if you aren't able to book one before the trip, you should be able to book one when we get on board. For our 2010 WBTA, our 2012 Hawaii and our 2013 Panama we were able to book a second brunch onboard!

We can book our excursions on 5/24 and we're having our excursion "planning" meeting this Friday! So exciting! Is there a platinum cruiser who wouldn't mind telling me the times for the following excursions? (After 5/24 I'd be more than happy to look up times for Silver members and first time cruises :thumbsup2)

Catamaran Adventure In Tenerife
Mount Teide National Park (Tenerife)
Tenerife, Teide And The Garden Of The Valley
Essential St.Kitts With Fairview
St. Kitts Sail And Snorkel

And last few things - is there still availability to get on the pin list?

THANK YOU.

I tried to look these up but the web site is having major issues right now.

LINKED DINING UPDATE: Susan (Geffric) has done a great job so far laying the groundwork for those interested in linking for dining, and she invited me to assist with creating a short questionnaire to help us "match" tables according to early/late dining, party size, things in common, etc. Together we came up with a few questions on the following Google document (link listed below). If you have not yet told Susan who you specifically want to link with, please take a few minutes to answer the short questionnaire and PM your answers to me (WDW Princess 71) no later than June 30. When Susan returns from the EBTA, she and I will be working together to review the questionnaire responses to try and match tables as best as we can.

Please feel free to post here or PM me with any questions. We look forward to playing "match-maker" and setting up fun tables for everyone!

We'll be visiting Mickey 5/28-6/2, to celebrate Jess turning 30 (yikes!). She's a SW fanatic, so the SW weekend is just her thing :chewy::darth::ewok::yoda:...and she says she'll always be a kid at heart. I've raised her well! She's also completely psyched about this cruise. It will be great to see some familiar faces :thumbsup2.

Glad to hear you got the house on the market and things are getting back to normal! Lorelei is getting big…she's almost as tall as me but still asks me to carry her around sometimes!

We will be there May 30- June 3. We'll be at DHS that Sunday for SW weekend. We were able to snag the dinner but not the breakfast but I keep calling anyway to see if anything opens up. We're going to MK that Monday to get Jameson's first haircut at the Harmony Barbershop. I'm so excited!

We know our UPS man very well too. We try to order almost everything off of Amazon. He usually waits for Lorelei to answer so she can accept the package. It is true you never know who you'll see because on the maiden voyage of the Dream I was looking down the hall and saw my childhood dance teacher! It was a neat way to reconnect!

We will be travelling with two kids under 5, so most of those bus tours aren't an option for us, as they are "toddlerfree". :sad1:

I sent them an email asking about it last Thursday and DCL hasn't got back to me yet.
I was just a bit confused about the fact, that the San Juan tours appear in the list for our cruise without mentioning, that certain tours aren't available on specific dates (as with Malaga excursions e.g.).
Maybe a Platinum Member could check, if it's possible to book a tour of San Juan or not :rolleyes1

We booked whit them a tour after the cruise and they take care off our suitecases and bring us to the airport. Maybe you can ask them if it's a problem to bring small children?

A few others have booked with them as well. I checked with them and the only tour they offer for kids our age (1 and 4) is the Old San Juan Day Sailing, which comes at $65 per head for 2 hours. :worried:
