The MAGIC is Back!!! - 6th Sept 2014 WBTA - Come & join the fun! - PART 2

Thanks! I'm trying to work out if I can make an 11am flight or whether I need to book a 2pm flight and hang around for awhile. ARGGGGGG

Our options were 11:46am into MCO or 12:15pm into TPA. We probably would have had no problem making the 11:46am but I felt happier with the 12:15.

Are you flying to Orlando, there is still availability on our Jet Blue flight into Tampa for $144pp incl luggage.

I am sure you would be OK with the 11am flight if you went for that though.

Unfortunately part of my issue is I need to get back to the UK so trying to look to see if there's a route that means I don't have to spend another night anywhere. This means I have to fly to MCO, MIA or JFK from the looks of it as everywhere else would involve another flight. All the flights to any of these seem to be either 11am or 2pm and then possibly have to add on an extra night stay

Has anyone thought about flights back from Puerto Rico yet? What time are people booking them if you are planning on going straight from the port to the airport? Does anyone know how long the drive is from the port to the airport?

Are you going straight back to the UK? There's quite a few of us on the flight out of San Juan on the Saturday evening via Frankfurt to the UK.

PLATINUM CRUISERS:

Please would one of you do me a kind favour?

Is this tour available to book on our Antigua port day?
http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/c...-johns-antigua/bird-island-and-stingray-swim/

The tour seems to be longer than our time in port... But I kind of decided this is the one I reeeally want to do before I realised there might be a problem!

Hopefully someone will be able to clear this up for me :)

Thank you!

Michala

I have done several massages on the various ships and enjoy them all, however one of my favorite things to do is the rainforest room. I enjoy the solitude, quietness and it's availability to me all day for a small price.

Completely agree!!!

Pat, added you to the postcard/recipe list.
Thanks for arranging this! Sounds fun.

Pat so great to hear from you! How is everything? We've had a tough time keeping up this year too. Life has gotten so crazy this spring and with both kids. Saw you also said you'll be at WDW the end of May and we will be too. Maybe we'll run into you guys. :goodvibes
Thanks! I can't imagine how grown up Lorelei is now...and the little guy must be just adorable! :goodvibes Life has been busy this past eight months or so, with Larry's mom going into long-term care and us renovating her home for sale (with lots of family/sibling drama in between...:headache:). I'm such a stinkin' perfectionist, we've been working our bums off to make it as nice as possible (without overdoing anything), just to make it marketable. We met with the realtor today to sign the contract, so it's officially on the market :yay::yay::yay: and our lives can get (almost) back to normal.

We'll be visiting Mickey 5/28-6/2, to celebrate Jess turning 30 (yikes!). She's a SW fanatic, so the SW weekend is just her thing :chewy::darth::ewok::yoda:...and she says she'll always be a kid at heart. I've raised her well! She's also completely psyched about this cruise. It will be great to see some familiar faces :thumbsup2.

You never know who you might run into at the parks! Many years ago, we were at HS, running through the rain, when we heard someone calling our last name...it was our UPS guy. You know you're ordering too much stuff when....

After the 2011 WBTA, we were in HS again, and I ran into our priest from work (a Catholic SNF). I had no idea he was even in Orlando. I was so stunned to see him in normal clothes and in a theme park, I just stared at him, thinking he must have a twin. We still laugh about that, and I always make sure I know what his vacation plans are now! So you never know...we may run into you guys after all :goodvibes.

I haven't actually looked at going via anywhere but the US to be honest. May need to relook. Who are you flying with?

Many of us are flying with Condor via FRA.

flight# DE6121: Sat 20th Sept 18:10 - Sun 20th Sept 9:15

Does any of the Platinum members know, if we can book a San Juan Port Adventure with DCL? If you choose Transatlantic as Destination on the DCL site, all the San Juan trips show up. Not sure if this is a glitch or if it's really possible to do a port adventure even after Disembarking. :confused3
Could be a good way to spend half the day, when your flight is leaving in the evening.

Same flight that we will be on.

We still not know what we are going to plan for San Juan whether go on tours ith coach with our luggage and it take us to airport after tours... Or leave at restaurant which I found information by cruise critic.

Decision :confused3:rolleyes1

According to DCL they aren't offering any port tours in San Juan for our cruise - or at least that's what they emailed me when I questioned about them last week

We will be travelling with two kids under 5, so most of those bus tours aren't an option for us, as they are "toddlerfree". :sad1:

I sent them an email asking about it last Thursday and DCL hasn't got back to me yet.
I was just a bit confused about the fact, that the San Juan tours appear in the list for our cruise without mentioning, that certain tours aren't available on specific dates (as with Malaga excursions e.g.).
Maybe a Platinum Member could check, if it's possible to book a tour of San Juan or not :rolleyes1

Hopefully someone will get back to you. It confused me too hence the email. Would be great to know for sure. Anyone?

I am currently looking at flights back to Manchester but I am concerned of missing the connecting flight. I am a bit stuck at the moment as what I should do. Missing a flight would be a nightmare as I will have my 2 children with me. :confused3

Do you mean straight after the cruise on Saturday 20th from San Juan to Manchester?
Most popular route seems to be via Frankfurt, the one I would opt for has a 1hr 5 min connection which should be fine but if you did miss it there are other connections to Manchester the same day. http://www.kayak.co.uk/flights/SJU-MAN/2014-09-20

Excited ... The trip is really starting to feel closer now that concierge and lots of you frequent cruisers can actually book stuff! Even though we can't book anything until June 23rd -- it makes the trip seem more real.

What excursions have you guys picked?

Hopefully everyone is getting dates and times for Palo that suit them -- :rotfl: just leave a brunch available for us lowly newbies please! :rotfl:

I agree the trip is starting to feel more real! I don't think you'll have trouble getting a Palo brunch - if you aren't able to book one before the trip, you should be able to book one when we get on board. For our 2010 WBTA, our 2012 Hawaii and our 2013 Panama we were able to book a second brunch onboard!

We can book our excursions on 5/24 and we're having our excursion "planning" meeting this Friday! So exciting! Is there a platinum cruiser who wouldn't mind telling me the times for the following excursions? (After 5/24 I'd be more than happy to look up times for Silver members and first time cruises :thumbsup2)

Catamaran Adventure In Tenerife
Mount Teide National Park (Tenerife)
Tenerife, Teide And The Garden Of The Valley
Essential St.Kitts With Fairview
St. Kitts Sail And Snorkel

And last few things - is there still availability to get on the pin list?

THANK YOU.
