The MAGIC is Back!!! - 6th Sept 2014 WBTA - Come & join the fun! - PART 2

HI Everyone, have PIF and this will be our 2nd DCL adventure for myself and husband Roy, so excited! Looking forward to meeting you all, we will be with my Cousin Steamboat Will and friend Abby. Wow there is lots to catch up on here and on Facebook. :)

Haven't posted in quite some time. Busy with son's wedding plans and mother's severe health issues. I have been following and was very happy to make our Palo and excursion reservations today. Now it seems real and we can't wait to see old friends and make new ones.

val we are interesting in the postcard/recipe exchange.
We are from Tennessee.

Yay! Palo and excursion reservations are made. Makes the trip seem so much more real. Hopefully everyone has good luck getting what they want booked over the next few weeks.

Would any platinum cruisers be willing to post some of the excursion times for st. Kitts and Tenerife? Several of us were wondering if we will be able to do 2 excursions in same day since many are only 3-4 hours and we have 10 hours in port.

Unfortunately since this is my first cruise, we can't book anything till June 23. I sure hope there are still some fun adventures left to be booked. LOL! Do I have to wait till June 23rd to book massages and inboard activities too?

It doesn't appear that there are afternoon excursions on Tenerife. They leave pretty much from 8:15-9:15, except the wine experience which leaves at 11:45.

As for St Kitts, seems to be the same thing for most, however zip line offered at 11:45 and 12:15, quad bike at 12:15, and sail and snorkel at 12:45. All others are am departures.

Sorry folks but it looks like one tour and the rest of the time to enjoy on your own.

Sometime they keep some while you are on the cruise and find out what they have or check it online every day as sometime there will be cancelling... Like I did it long times ago... I got booked what I want but it was full then I checked it everyday online and I booked it so you will be amazing to see how different opportunity every day.

Same with Palo, I was disappointed when it went sold out but other day it came up available... I got it.

I am so excited that the booking process has begun. I am a gold so I will not be able to book for another 15 or so days. I have to admit I am not too happy with the port adventures for St. Kitts and Antigua but I will find something to book by the time my check in process has begun.

I booked:
Malaga: Viva Andalusia
Tenerife: Tenerife Wine Experience
Antigua: Amazing Antigua - AO
St. Maarten: Island Drive & Explorer Cruise
St. Kitts: Caribbean Cooks

Are there any other Platinums trying to book excursions or Palo online? When I go into my cruise reservation, I don't even see the panel for "My Cruise Activities". It just goes right from "Reservation Summary" to "My Online Check-in" (which is now indeed open for me to do online check-in).

Same problem for us. :confused3

Emailed TA to have her check with DCL to find out what is going on. Must be a glitch in their system.

Bob

I finally figured it out at 2:00 am. I clicked up top on planned activities and it opened up. I am not sure why it was like this but it worked. Good luck everyone.

I had the same problem, but the block with cruise activities is now available for me, with the date I can book. I have to wait till june 8th.

Does anyone know at what time you can start to book? Is it 12 am EDT or is it later on the day. I can then find the time I can start. We are 6 hours further in time (GT+1)

I try to post some, but I can't see it.

Does anyone know at what time you can start booking port adventures, Palo etc.
Is it 12 am EDT or later. We live in the Netherlands so we are 6 hours further.

We are silver so june 8th is our day.

Oke I can see my previous post now, so I asked the same 2 times.

You can book activities (excursions, spa, palo) at 12:01 eastern time. Check-in is a few hours later.

So 5am local time in UK & 6am local time for you Liesbeth, you won't have to get up as early as me,perhaps I'll get my son to book as he is living in Breda at the moment :)

I've been asked a few questions concerning the Postcard/Recipe exchange and if the idea is to add a regional recipe to the postcards. My response is Yes - But - this is suppose to be fun, not stressful, so there really aren't any rules. In past postcard/recipe exchanges I have received a variety of combinations, all have been appreciated. Some things I have received have been:
  1. Just a lovely postcard, some with, some without, messages
  2. A postcard with a regional or favorite recipe on the back
  3. A postcard and a regional favorite treat; tea bag, penny candy, mini bottle of hot sauce
  4. A postcard with a recipe clipped to it
  5. A recipe card noting who sent it and from where but no postcard
Any combination would be great.
Val

Hi Val can I be added to the list? Judith Stateroom 7576 :)

Odd question but once you've paid in full does your cruise appear online the same day? I have yet to book as can't til I get back from US in 3 weeks as need to use the credit card I'm using in US so all tours will be open when I get back so debating when I'm going to be able to book them

I booked:
Malaga: Viva Andalusia
Tenerife: Tenerife Wine Experience
Antigua: Amazing Antigua - AO
St. Maarten: Island Drive & Explorer Cruise
St. Kitts: Caribbean Cooks

My comment was primarily for the lack of active adventures. Although I did see several not much was offered that really grabbed my attention, nevertheless I am sure I will find something fun to do.

Thank you Val for adding me to the Postcard list, my home location is Reading UK.

Please can I also be added to the roll call: Roo from Reading UK: Judith & DH Roy #7576 and travelling with Steamboat Will & Abby.
