The MAGIC is Back!!! - 6th Sept 2014 WBTA - Come & join the fun! - PART 2

Okay - need help regarding Palo Brunch reservations we are doing as a group. I have posted on Facebook pages and DIS rollcall thread multiple times to request confirmation numbers, and also sent PMs via DISboards over a week ago to their DIS name denoted in request. I have not heard from the following folks and will be dropping them after April 30 to move standby folks up.

Does anyone have any contact with these? I know some had cancelled the cruise but never posted in our DIS rollcall thread (where I kept all brunch info) or sent a PM to let me know to take them off the list... wondering if these are the same way.

(3) caroleRWO (Carole, Mike, Jenny)
(2) DVCNuts (Jerry and Laura)
(2) mug318ca cabin 8586 - posted in thread 10/16/13 and moved up from standby 3/25/14
(2) Disneynut64 (Greg and ___ )

The four parties above are holding spots for Palo Brunch but have yet to reply with a DCL confirmation number for me to submit for their reservations. (And Claire - not listed above - is sending me her group of 6 this week so I know they are covered in their group to a max of 14 when she sends those)

Thanks in advance if you know these folks and can get them to read the following link to notify me:

Palo Brunch update:

- updated list kept on post #8 of this thread, including standby list in bright pink at bottom of the eight groups
- groups limited to 12-14 per DCL
- many standby folks will be moved around after April 30 to fill slots in groups that are now available due to changes and cancellations
- sent a PM to the last two DISboard members mug318ca and disneynut64 to try to get reservation number (last PM sent was April 17, no response) - pray they are okay since haven't replied yet (hopefully been cruising all month!!) :goodvibes

Geffric just noticed the post of "The Tour" is their still room for this????

Yes, I haven't even started a list of people, I am waiting for the DCL tours to come out. I am concerned about the early leaving time.

Also been busy with EBTA and Med with Turkey and Greece cruise so I am not gotten that far in planning. Do you want to go too? We can start a list.

WBTA PIN

Noel and I are going to make pins again for the 2014 WBTA cruise Each pin is 4.6 Euros or $6.50 US Dollars. Pins need to be prepaid on PayPal before August 1, 2014.

Please mark the PayPal payment as a gift to either Noel Birkner for US Dollars at birkner@needinfo.com or Connie van Maaren ( p.vanmaaren@chello.nl) for Euro payments.

Be sure you put either your DIS of FB name in the PayPal notes so we know where the payment came from and can properly credit you.

Pins will be distributed at a location to be determined later on the ship.

If you have any questions, you can either PM Noel or Connie.

So, this may be a silly question, but what is the pin going to look like?

Cristi

Great. I'll post on FB, something I don't really do much. If no one else is organizing a postcard/recipe exchange, I last a list. Send me your first name, cabin number and city or state where you are from.

Val

Val,

I would like to join the postcard/ recipe exchange. Cristi - Cabin 7570 - Plano, TX.

Thanks!

It's a good feeling, isn't it?!

We're very prepared actually, all flights are book and paid for, hotels are a booked, rental car is booked. We still need to book universal tickets for my parents (we have an annual pass) and decide what to do in each port. Come ok disney, you're holding us up!! ;)

Michala

I just PIF today - :yay::yay::yay: Wow, seems totally real now that it is paid for! So: airfare - check; Hotel in Barcelona - check; Hotel in San Juan - check; dog sitter - check; vacation blocked off at work - check; signed up for all the tastings - check and check (two times since I will probably be seeing double if not triple after all those tastings!).

All that is left is a hotel in London and the port outings.

Cristi

Some other info on Barcelona might be helpful that I incorporated into our EBTA DIS Navigator last year. Here is a link to that should anyone be interested...

http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=48400473&postcount=2883

I just took a look at this Navigator and all I can say is - WOW. This was quite the undertaking and what a great source of information. Thank you so much for the link!

So I have a few questions for our cruise:
- Any idea where we should pick up "supplies" for our own adult beverages?
- We would like to check out of our hotel in the morning, get to the Blue Bus, check in with Disney drop off our luggage, and then go back into Barcelona to pick up liquor, last minute sundries, etc. Is that feasible?
- Are we doing lanyards for this cruise as well?

If something like this is planned for our cruise, I'll be happy to help where I can. Just let me know.

Hey!

- Supplies -- El Corte Ingles there on Placa Catalunya. Just across from Hard Rock Cafe if you are going to the pre-cruise meet. They have everything imaginable. (Yes, I forgot on WBTA 2011 and packed only my sports bras.... they are a full department store for anything you need! LOL.)

- Yes - that is feasible, but if you go to pre-cruise meet just grab it all then to save the trip. I forget what time lifeboat drill is- and I know last time we had a late sailaway.

- I believe Claire is doing lanyards maybe :)

We are getting so excited. We found out our tour is going to end at the Hard Rock Cafe so I better sign up for the meet and greet. We are a shy couple until u get to know us.

Steve, Dani, and DD Heather will stop in to the meet and greet at Hard Rock.

Thanks for the info Mandy. We will be going to the meet at Hard Rock. Should I pick up my supplies before the meet or after? I guess what I want to know if they are open late!

Is anyone coming from Hawaii that could bring me a calendar from ABC store? Preferably flowers. For 2015.
You could exchange for something from Canada or an adult beverage on board ;)

Last call!!

Group Palo Brunch (from post #8 of this thread, created February 2013 in thread part one)

I am still waiting to hear from:

mug318ca
(I searched DIS and saw postings on 8/2/14 Fantasy - maybe changed sailings??? Last posting there was 2/28/14 and also posted in the thread 6/29/15 Magic Norway. But nothing recently on WBTA. Has not replied to two PMs I have sent during April.)

and

Disneynut64
(I searched DIS and saw Alaska in May posted 4/25/14 so I know has been online recently, but not responded to the two PMs I sent this month regarding WBTA brunch)

In about 24 hours I will be removing these two above from the brunch list if I don't receive confirmation numbers. I feel I did my fair share in reaching out to contact by sending PMs, posting in this thread repeatedly since early April, posting in both facebook groups repeatedly, and searching on DIS to see if there were any insights to recent postings if still on WBTA. The last thing I want is for someone to be deleted from a Palo group brunch and say they were wronged and that I did not do enough. Having only DIS name, I tried everything I knew. I apologize if communication never reached these two above. :( I at least tried the best I could. :confused3

On the positive....

If I did it all right tonight on my paper copy, then I should be able to accommodate everyone who is currently on the waitlist (hot pink on post #8) into a group... including changes - assuming these two parties above still do not respond.
DH and I would change groups to help accommodate the two group 1 requests so they can work and be with existing friends (how's that for taking one for the team? :) );
Suellennapa - you won't get group 3 since the max is 14 and that would exceed the max per DCL - but you would at least get your party in a group;
MagicMe/BuckeyeGal to group 5 if mug318ca does not respond;
will be able to add one to Yogi in group 6 per that request (so don't delete!! sent you a PM);
I will be able to put MedicGoofy/PhantomsGirl together in group 2

Again, it all works out pending the two above do not reply by April 30 and my jigsaw puzzle on paper with all the changes and additions is correct. :goodvibes

We must have 12 per group to be able to request the private room, and it accommodates a max of 14. Those are DCL guidelines, not mine. Once those are moved around I will make sure I have all reservation numbers. We have had our group brunch confirmations greater than 30 days previously so I plan to at least get them in the queue since PIF is literally less than two weeks away.

I'll post an updated list later in the week pending hearing from the above two parties (or not hearing from...) :thumbsup2

And don't forget to make your ressies anyway when that opens, and if (when!) our groups are accepted for the private room, DCL will just delete your original personal ressies since we can only have one prior to embarkation. (Then once onboard, go add additional ressies as you wish!)

Palo Group Brunch:

Please email me at wbta2014 at yahoo dot com to confirm you are still in your spot for Palo Brunch. This is the listing we started in February 2013 from Thread #1 and kept updated there before transferring over to this current thread. (Man, I've been keeping up with additions/deletions/changes a long time now!)

What I need from you in your email:

- Your DIS name and Group Number listed below (so I can match you up to list below)
- Your first and last name as it is on your DCL cruise reservation
- Your reservation number with DCL for WBTA 2014 (should be a series of eight numbers, and must match your first and last name on the booking)
*** Please list each person if you are confirming for your group of 2 or whatever number it is ***

This is what I must submit to DCL in the request. I will reply to your email has been received. Any changes will be denoted on page one of this thread as always since we have a current waitlist for spots. It is possible not everyone notified me when canceling this cruise so I want to open up any extra spots if available. I need to know this information by April 30 or I will begin making deletions to those who do not confirm via the email above. There will be no refunds after making this booking per DCL, and is charged to your onboard account. The main name on each reservation will be the first one listed in each group.

As has been stated since day one, when normal bookings open for spa/excursions/Palo, please go ahead and secure your own Palo Brunch timeslot for when you choose. When I submit the group request for the private room, if confirmed for your group, DCL will cancel your original request to book this group request. Once onboard, you can make additional brunch reservations as they save x number of spots each day for onboard bookings.

Thank you so much! :goodvibes

Thanks for the info Mandy. We will be going to the meet at Hard Rock. Should I pick up my supplies before the meet or after? I guess what I want to know if they are open late!

After... I think they close at 9:30
