The MAGIC is Back!!! - 6th Sept 2014 WBTA - Come & join the fun! - PART 2

Maybe we will actually be better off with the other options they are planning.

Michala

You're optimistic thinking they might actually be planning other options as to just placating us with that statement! I'm not as sure.

I am going to email and contact us tonight as well. It is absurd that they consider the 2 transatlantics as port intensive. They couldn't be further from that!

I am only guessing here, but I think this may have something to do with needing extra personnel that they won't be taking across the Atlantic with them? After all, you know what I mean, they would need a number of character handlers to accompany the characters to the breakfasts, so maybe they are not taking them across to Europe and only having them reboard in the States? Because honestly, otherwise it would make no sense at all to include the two Transatlantics in this decision.

Is anyone coming from Hawaii that could bring me a calendar from ABC store? Preferably flowers. For 2015. You could exchange for something from Canada or an adult beverage on board ;)

Omg! An excuse to hit the mall! I can do, PM me.

geffric, we'd already booked this tour before you posted this, what are your concerns about the early leaving time? Do you think it'll be too early for some 'late risers' or is the time we're due to dock a concern. Newbie cruiser here so just trying to understand if I've made a mistake (we've booked the 9am one) :goodvibes

Thanks, the one they sent me was for a later time with a start time of 10:30. That was why i wonder if it is too late for a 4:45 sail time.

but 9 am is great!

I totally misunderstood your post then:goodvibes , I asked them for the earliest tour time as I was worried about getting back to ship on time & don't mind an early start, just the two of us, no teenagers this holiday:rotfl2:

I just booked this tour.

i just booked for 3 people ( me dh and arlene) .
. Any others can go to their website and join us. They are starting at 9 am for us since we get into St Kitts at 7:15 and have to leave early! They did not take money upfront and we will pay once we get there. It is in English!

I will be running the Dumbo Double Dare (10K on Saturday and half marathon on Sunday) at Disneyland on August 30 and 31 weekend just before I depart for Barcelona. Anyone else doing this?

Just finished sending my email to DCL expressing disappointment about the character breakfast being cancelled. I stated that it is absurd that they consider a TA a port intensive cruise and that if anything our "sea day intensive" cruise should feature 2 character meals per guests, not zero. I also said that while I hope for special features like villains ball and fab 5 photo opps, they should be in addition to the standard features like the breakfast.

Tenerife Port Adventures are up ... I hope the others will follow soon! :goodvibes

I have private tours booked for Barcelona and Malaga, as well as a small group snorkeling trip in St. Maarten but haven't had any luck with st. Kitts and Antigua so far. Some of the operators I've contacted have said they are booked due to disney and other cruise ships in port already reserving them for excursions. So, although we normally stay away from cruise ship excursions we may have no choice for some of these islands. We shall see. I will keep researching and if all else fails will go with DCL.

Nicole and others:
My sister asked about doing a private tour around Barcelona. Can anyone recommend any company or person? My sister and niece arrive Weds afternoon, and the rest of us on Thursday morning, and were hoping to do a tour on Thursday, then maybe the HOHO bus on Friday.

Thanks for the heads up annichan -- have you seen something you might like to book? I was most interested in Mount Teide -- but it does not seem to include a trip on the cable car?

Off to have a better read of everything!

I am not seeing them .

It does not seem to come up if you select transatlantic or our departure date. When I just looked for Tenerife they came up -- good luck diznefamily -- I hope they appear for you too!

It's nearly PIF time and I hope you have all PIF'd are are joining us for WBTA 2014 :)

Just trying to get organised in advance, so that I can give the information to DCL to get confirmation as soon as we can that we can get 2 events on the same day so that all the Princesses can attend a Champagne Girls on the cruise princess:

In order to complete my list and get your confirmation that you are attending, I would be obliged if you could please let me have your full name, cabin number and reservation number of yourself and any other ladies in your party whom you have booked a slot for. If you are GTY or like, please let me know by PM.

Thank you in advance of receiving your information.

A reminder that the venue will potentially be Keys and the cost is $30 which will be deducted from your onboard stateroom account whether you attend or not and DCL will not send a reminder to your stateroom as they have in previous years, but I will post well in advance the date and times for each group.

Kind regards.

I just updated post #8 for Palo Group Brunch. Just need a few more tidbits from a few folks that were able to be moved up from standby list. Please have this info to me by May 9. I tried denoting within the groups in red if I still need something or tried emailing if it was an email communication. Thanks so much! And yes - all standby folks were able to be moved into groups :cool1:

Good luck on your run! I was hoping to do half this year. We are heading to DW on 8/30 for a few days before heading to Barcelona. I am anxious for the Avengers Run. Are you running that one too.

Thanks and yes, I will be participating in the Avengers Race Weekend as well (5K and half marathon). I typically do the majority of the runDisney events, however with our WBTA cruise I had to limit those out of state Disney run trips in order to save vacation days for our cruise.

Good morning fellow WBTA cruisers!!!! :yay: Time is getting closer to that magical cruise that we have all been waiting for!!!!

I'm coordinating the mixology tasting and I need to start having everyone that signed up for this event to pm me to confirm if they are still interested in joining us. I called DCL yesterday and they told me that the cost is $15/pp, and if I send them my request as early as possible, we can request enough time slots to accommodate all that have signed up. I will need your full name (and all those in your party), cabin number(s), and reservation number(s). They recommended 30 people per class.

Please check the list below to see if I have you on it, and then pm me as soon as possible with all the information listed above. Please don't leave me a post on disboards because I may not check it every day and may miss it. I don't want to leave anyone out!!!! :)

*****Slight problem with the rum cocktail tasting event. When I talked with DCL, they said they do not do rum cocktail tastings.:confused3 As soon as I can figure this out, I will let everyone know. Thanks for your patience!!!****

Is there any update on the Mojito tasting? I thought I remember the original organizer no longer going on the cruise; was it passed off to someone else and if so is it still happening? Just want to make sure I give my info to the right person. Thanks!
