we had a tornado...dh cooked dinner...grilled steaks...in the torrential rain and tornado....

That's dedication -- I'll grill in the rain, but I draw the line at tornadoes and other geothermic disturbances. BTW, on the quote thing, what I do is just hit the quote button on a post I want to quote from, and then delete everything in between the brackets that I don't want to quote. Faster that way. I think. Now, can someone tell me how to add the smilies? 'Cause every time I try to click on one, it just sends me back to the top of my post. What am I missing here?

Not very many people up at this late hour. Wimps -- sleep is for ... the sane. I guess. Took me a while to catch up on all the goings on. That's what happens when you take time to actually, you know, feed your kids, put them to bed, watch Survivor, etc. Much easier to post at work -- nobody bothers me there.

Almost. You need to put a / in front of the "QUOTE". Like this (except without the spaces: [ / QUOTE]

You forgot to put this thing / in the last one before the word QUOTE. Put it in between the first bracket and the Q. Everything else looks right though.

Don't know why I thought that was so funny.

Glad to add a little levity. I may be a geek, but I really do like that movie. 'Course I was unbelievably drunk when I saw it the first time in the theater, so that may add some rosy color to my memory of it.

Just put your cursor where you want the smilie and click on the smilie you want. You'll know where it will be because it will give you a little description of the smilie where you put your cursor. Like this guy. What I see when I'm typing this is That's how I know he's showing up in my post.
