It's 5 o'clock somewhere, right?? And it's nearly noon, here.

Confession time --- I am such a goof that I JUST figured out that you don't have to actually TAKE the picture yourself and have it on your own website. That you can actually just grab a photo from anywhere .com and post it.

Seriously.

Prepare for a lot of pic posting from kimba -- lightbulb ... ON!

Nope, wasn't me, my alma maters are the University of North Carolina and the University of Utah (never been to Utah tho). I was in the Air Force (many, many years ago) and the Navy.

Couple of things....PongoJen, here's the pic of my Abby that I was telling you about. Do you think you could help?? Don't get her hooked on Manolos or Jimmy Choo. Just something that doesn't quite glitter so much.

Pongo.....One more thing. Is that Andy in that pic licking a cat/budha??? Did he find the stash of spices I sent you????????? Ichiban looked like it was a blast.

Well I would suggest a nice strappy sandal with that outfit...no Manolos yet, she needs to wait until she stops growing for those. I shall have to come over and we can all go on a shopping intervention. Maybe until then you can throw all of her socks away...

Ummm..No that isn't Andy. It's the husband of the girl that I am in all the pictures with. He was a riot last night with his party Buddah. If you look at the rest of the pictures, like the ones from Christmas, Andy is in there.

Us girls were NAUGHTY....big time. I should be ashamed, but I am not. Know why....cause it was funny, that's why. We had fun with our cats.

MG....we are talking about my pictures from my fun dinner last night.

In fact... one of my pimples burst. All over the keyboard.
I'm so glad she's back?

I've got two trials this week so don't expect to see me very much around here for a few days. I'm still convinced this weekend's folderol was a carefully orchestrated effort by my opposing counsel to keep me distracted. Still, the Sons of Norway Festival was quite delightful.

LaLa: my daughter and I split 2 games a piece and my wife won one. We ended up playing Hi Ho Cherrio instead of Chutes and Ladders. I can't wait until my daughter is old enough to tackle better games. Evidently, my victory dance when I win is worth watching b/c my wife later confessed to taking a dive in one of the games just to watch me win again. I don't know what's more disturbing: that my wife figured out how to take a dive in Hi Ho Cherrio or that my victory dance is that much worth watching or that I have a victory dance for winning Hi Ho Cherrio.

Either my secretary has bad gas or Sheridac is trying to send me another message. Hard to say.

GA: You're the most recent person to raise this subject, so I will respond to everyone as I respond to you. I really don't use PMs or email for this message board. I've made exactly two exceptions to this rule. I emailed Mel on Sat out of concern for her safety and well being. I considered that JW would probably do the same (turns out he did) but I hadn't seen him posting that day and I thought someone needed to warn her ASAP about her email address. The urgency of the situation, in my mind, called for a drastic measure. The previous exception was similarly urgent.

So please do not take offense that I don't email you. Look, I recognize I'm pretty old fashioned and pruddish. I'm ok with people thinking that. But we all know someone who got involved in a relationship through the internet and lives were ultimately ruined. The way I protect my family from that occuring is I don't put myself in situations where it could occur. By my reckoning, anything which is said publicly is less likely to get too personal. If I started PMing people I'm afraid it could end up getting personal and well, strange. This may not be true for everyone. But in my experience, there's something about me that makes people open up and share very personal details. It happens all the time in line at the store and even my clients frequently divulge super personal details b/c they forget the "counselor" part of my title doesn't mean psychological counselor. Frequently, I'm reminding people I know that I'm not really trained to dispense mental health advice and they should seek the care of a professional. No joke. Therefore, in my real life, I am never alone with a woman who is not my wife. It makes sense to do the same on the internet.

By the way, I don't use much technology in court. In my experience it becomes a distraction and loses effect. Evidently, I haven't figured out how to use it more effectively.

Mark: you've taken some ribbing about how long your post was. I hope in all that it wasn't lost how powerful your post was. It was well-stated.

Maelstrom! :moped:

Just a drive by post, I am on the run all day and most of the week, so can someone take notes please (I am caught up to page 571 right now).

LY/MI

did I miss anything good yet???:rotfl2:

Oh and the riddle has me all confuzzled today. So far I guessed, was wrong (even though I was right) and then guessed again but then rethought it because "evidence" can not be both. So that is wrong (and if it is not wrong I will need someone to buy me a new dictonary). So my final guess is, this is a list of banned words??? or maybe my guess is a list of words used to discribe Lou??? Yeah, maybe that is it....

ZZUB (sans quote for brevity's sake) - fair enough! That is a perfectly reasonable (and well-reasoned) position to hold. And good luck (I think) with the trials. (I think, only because I am not CERTAIN that you're not a criminal defense attorney. Although I should be, because a prosecutor would NEVER try to distract you by getting Mel to leave the DIS, etc. So that rules out criminal defense. So I'm sure, GOOD LUCK on your trials.) Besides, you answered my question.

Ah, family game night. Those days are coming, I can sense it. But not yet. Or was that Sheridac?

Can we add a spice? Clueless Spice? I'm open to suggestions.

OMG, I suggested the EXACT same spice girl name for me to Horsey the other day. I SWEAR. Just ask her. And Amy and I both used the "all is right with the world" phrase this morning, too. I am starting to blow my mind with all this mind meld happening (tons of it last night in the spice shop, too).

I think I'm spending too much time with you people.

Really.

But I don't want to stop...you're just too freakin' funny. Yes, even you Rhonda. And Amy in both the morning and afternoon. :rotfl2:

Oh, Poop, your daughter is a cutie cutie pie. And I'm jumpin on the bandwagon. I love your kitchen, too. :teeth:

Is it OK to brag about your kids on the DIS? Because I have to be all humble and all to my friends.

I just came from my daughter's school - Home of the Vikings, by the way - we actually BOUGHT the horns and sword from the Norway gift shop. Not just put them on for a pic, but we had to take them home.

Anywho - My sweet girl won the Fruit of the Spirit award!

I was so proud! I cried buckets. But I can't brag to any of my non-cyber friends because they all have kids in her class. So - sorry guys, I had to tell someone.

Anyway - GACAT and GADISNEYGIRL - Dinner sounds like a plan! Let's try to work that out this summer.

Hope everyone has a great day - :)

ZZUB rocks. Period!

Family game night... we have family game night almost EVERY night! And Wesley kicks our butts at Disney Trivial Pursuit every time. So we've stopped playing that one so much. Our egos were taking a beating. Our current fave is Disney Princess Uno. Aside from the fact that there are "hotties" on every card, there are also Dragon and Prince cards. That greatly appeals to my little Prince Phillip. In order to slay the dragon, you must play a prince card. We like it because it is a lot faster than Disney Trivial Pursuit. Or Monopoly Junior. And not quite as boring as Candyland or Hi Ho Cherry-O. And there's always Disney Memory, too...

What am I doing on here? I'm supposed to be writing a trip report. Or working. Think I'll go for the trip report for a while. I've been working all morning!

Aww., NM -- that's like 10 awards in one, isn't it? It doesn't surprise me ... she is YOUR daughter, n'est pas?

Congrats, Nic! Now....what the heck is a "Fruit of the Spirit"??? I'm sure it's a wonderful thing to be, or they wouldn't have an award for it....but clarify, please.

Oh, and Pongo, where are all these photos everyone's talking about? I only saw the one of you with your dog. Not a buddha or gaucho to be seen.....Am I blind?? :confused3

NM, Yes it is ok to share life's downs and ups with us!! That is wonderful news. Your DD has clearly inherited your passion and zest for living with, well, kindness, goodness, gentleness, patience, self-control.....

You know, originally I had made a comment about a little typo in your comment to GA Cat. But upon further review, it appeared a little snarky. I can assure you it was all in fun. You are MOST DEFINITELY smarter than me. Even if your spelling was a little off. There. That's the biggest edit I've ever made.

NM, of course it's okay. Brag away!

And we will get cracking on the dinner plans.

You don't have a Pinocchio handbag, do you? Cause we saw someone with one in Michael's last weekend, and Mark was sure it was you. Because, after all, I'm certain that we are the ONLY Disney freaks in our little corner of the world... :rotfl2:
