All on trips this weekend, you luck devils, get out of my site, and have fun and write mini trip reports for us with nothing big planned this weekend. If any one wants a last minute trippie, there is somekind of bike show here at the beach this weekend and an air show at langley.

I took my first foray into the riddle thread today - I think since I got the Mickey "good job" picture that I got it right - but I could've been way off! It was fun, though.

Morning folks! I just thought I'd check in before I go off and enjoy my day of being a bachelor again. Rhonda and Wesley are having a great time at Disney. Somebody asked where I went yesterday. I had a meeting on St. Simons Island yesterday - it's about 4 hours away. There are folks in my church that work with ASA airlines and got me a buddy pass. It would have cost our annual conference over $130 bucks to reimiburse me for gas for this meeting and I was able to fly over there for $56 round trip. Plus didn't have the stress of driving, the miles on the car, etc. So that's where I went yesterday.

Amy - I'm headed south this morning. Going to the Houston County friends of the library book sale in Perry. I'll wave when I head past WR. I still haven't made up my mind about tomorrow and the other thing. Not sure if I'll be there or not. And thanks for the classics stuff. I haven't had time to read it yet, but will sometime later today probably.

By the way - anybody chatting tonight? I'll be here for a while late. (And yes, Rhonda knows I'm chatting this weekend!) We've got that 80's dance at the church until 10. I figure I'll be on sometime after that.

Yesterday was very eventful here. I had heat exhaustion, AGAIN, so I was a bit loopy when I got home.

The proactive infomercial was on, and I ordered it. I have rosacea and it's supposed to help with that. I'll let you know how that 50.00 purchase pans out.

We chatted last night and had a pretty good turn out. Pongo and I had another marathon IM thing going on during the chat. (She's getting married on my 17th wedding anniversary!)

I saw Zurgswife on the cheap wine thread (go figure) and I had the nerve to PM her. (She responded!) I did a bit of fan worship and invited her to the thread and the chat. So be nice if she comes in while I'm away, okay?

As of 4pm today, I will be internetless until the 15th.

AMY - can you please pm me the list when you get a sec? I know you are busy protecting people from the scums of the earth, but have some pity on me, please?

We will start to move the big stuff into the new house tonight. Hopefully, we will be done by Sunday.

I get to take a BATH tonight!!!! YIPEEE! (a jacuzzi one, at that!) We only have a shower upstairs, so I haven't had a bath in 8 months, lol.

I'll be posting frequently today, as you might expect. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

They missed out on coming to the Moose Meet last Oct. they really wanted to come and we were looking forward to meeting them but life happens.

That would be great, Ed! Only, can we make the meet for next year after February? Dick doesn't get vacation days til then. I might have to do the "I'm not worthy!" thing if I actually meet Robin and Zurg's family. (Stop me if you see me start to do that, k?)

Hey Tink,

Good luck with the last phases of moving. Isn't it fun to finally get into your new place? I know, lots of work, too, but we're happy for you. BTW, I have rosacea too! Only thing that has worked for me is Tetracyclene, but I don't like to take that for long periods, so I'd be really interested to see if ProActiv works for ya. I could share with my teenage son!!!

We did have one visit from Zurgswife about 250 pages ago. It would be nice if she and Zurg would do a drive by every once in a while like Robin does (and lately, Princess Aurora....) They do seem like great people. Haven't met Bobby yet, but I did use their favorite Illuminations Cruise skipper for ours last year (his name escapes me at the moment!!) He was great.

Thanks so much for the typically wonderful and moving mini TR. I love your son's questions and comments! I really want to take my guys to DC. I went as a pre-teen, and retained so much from it! It is a great family and educational experience. Hope you're feeling well enough to enjoy it.

Wowzamagowza...what a morning. I did my first contract negotiation (supervised, but still!), and I actually got the dang thing signed. On our terms! Go me, go me, go go go me! What did I learn today? That I have MUCH to learn!

I'm trying to sneak out of work early today, since we're heading over to WDW bright 'n early tomorrow morning. I'm gonna meet Rhonda and Wesley at Epicot tomorrow afternoon! I'm going over with my cousin and her two daughters (aged 8 and 13), and they think it's pretty cool, too.

There will be photos of two 'Strommers and their entourages forthcoming, because, as we all know...

Maelstrom is a...FASTPASS!?!?

I'm going to give you all my tomato pie recipe. If you don't like tomatoes (pongo)....then your time on my post is done! This is a great recipe for those of you that grow tomatoes and sometimes have too many! Remember, this is one of those family recipes without exact measurements...sorry!

Tomato Pie

5 - 6 med/large tomatoes
1 can Hungry Jack biscuits (original flakey)
4 to 6 heaping Tablespoons Mayonaise
Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Salt and Pepper

Heat oven to 400*. Spray oil on bottom of 9 x 13 casserole dish. Seperate and press the hungry jacks in to the dish to cover the bottom and make a crust. Peel and slice your tomatoes into a bowl. Lay the tomatoes on the crust and salt and pepper them. Take the bowl the tomatoes were in, keeping any juice that was left behind, and add mayonaise. Add cheese until you get it to the consistancy you want. I like a lot more cheese than mayo so I add a lot of cheese and it is pretty thick like pimento cheese would be. Dab the cheese mixture on top of the tomatoes and spread it out the best you can. Bake it until the crust is golden brown.

I actually bought a cherry tomato last weekend. It came in a hanging basket and the foliage grows down instead of up.

It reminded me of the one in the Land.

My family (outside of DH and DS) thinks I am crazy. I can turn a conversation about any random thing to be about Disney World.
