Thanks so much, I was starting to run a little low. With all of the celebrating yesterday over # 1000 the place was a mess and the help was starting to complain about it. You know they almost walked out on us, so I offered them a little more money to stay on.

Thankfully they took it!! After yestday, I'm sure the staff would like a break. Today we will break in the new waiters!

I'm waiting for my husband to set up the table saw so I can cut the subfloor and the engineered hardwood for the staircase landing.

He's peeved at me because I cut down two more trees in the backyard (one's a 50 footer!) this morning instead of working on the stairs.

Yes, I lack focus on my gigantic remodeling project...

I'm also totally p*ssing somebody off on the restaurant boards about parking at the Contemporary if you're doing anything other than or in addition to eating there.

Can't help myself, the more sanctimonious they get about the "rules" the more I just have to "poke the mask on the ol' lone ranger"...

Rats.

I bought plywood that's too thick so the engineered hardwood pokes up over the edge of the stairs.

So now I have to pull up the screwed down (2 stripped screws) plywood, go get thinner plywood (by 2 mm!), re cut it and re screw it down before I can do the hardwood.

I need some fudge...

Or caramel brownies...
