I've always believed they are hero's! I have filled out those thank you military cards on the internet where you pick a card and select a pre-made message and sign your name. The war just hasn't ever hit so close to home. He enlisted back in 2005 I think. Anyway he had been in Chicago and Germany and Kuwait. He just got to Iraq about a month ago. The stories he used to tell were funny about spiders the size of basketballs chasing people and hissing and the guys screaming like girls. Not really funny I guess but the way he told them made it funny. Now he sounds on the verge of tears and talking how his friend was shot in front of him and he had to drag his lifeless body out of the no-kill zone and how he's had to kill like 12 people including kids.It just makes my heart break. And right now everyone is at work and I really have no one to talk to until then. I appreciate your talking to me.
