Hi, I'm back on for a few.

Minty, that is awesome about your boss being willing to help you out like that. I didn't realized you had decided when you have the surgery. 3 days? That's just around the corner!!

Princess Mindy..thanks for the welcome and the skating was at the local skating rink. DGS's school went tonight and skated, I love watching them.

If I am not too nosy what surgery are you having? Havn't read all of this thread yeat ...just getting started. What a very nice thing for your Boss to do for you.

I popped back on for a few minutes.

My DD and I have started doing a bi-weekly Girl's Night Out. We just started it tonight. After I picked her up from school, we headed to the nail salon to get pedicures, then we headed to Carrabbas for dinner. It was a wonderful bonding time for the both of us. We had an excellent time.

DS came home today not feeling well, running a temp. We're watching him through the night to determine what he'll do tomorrow- go to school or go to the doctor. Poor baby, he's already asleep.

How's everyone feeling / doing tonight? We have a lot of sick ones!

I've got some skin problems on my arms (underarms mostly) where I develop cysts. They are taking the skin from there out and replacing it with skin from another area. Both arms are being operated on. ONe to cosmetically make the scar from the 6 months ago look better on one side, and on the other to do the procedure above. Not fun. I know I"m going to look like hell when I come out of that, but I really view my boss as so much more than that. Its amazing how caring she is.

Yeah Bonnie. I moved the surgery up to Monday morning. I have to be there at 6am. Yuck

Denise! So sorry to hear that your son is sick. Does he have the stomach thing that is going around?

Not sure. He complains of just a stomach ache, and nothing else, so we'll see. . .

I love the idea of a mother daughter night. It sounds like so much fun. I haven't eaten at Carrabas before but have heard its really good. They're owned by Outback.

You are REALLY fortunate to have such a great boss. It's great that you recognize that and appreciate her!

I''m terrified. I know its outpatient and a 3 hour procedure, but I am still really worried about it. I am more worried about the recovery time afterwards. What will I be able to do? With I have 2 arm slings? How helpless will I be? This I won't know until its over and it frightens me. I have nightmares.

I'm so lucky to have such a great support system though. With my boss, DBF, and my DIS Ohana I am one lucky gal. Thanks all!

Oh, Mindy, you don't know what you're missing! It's one of my favorites. I think they also own Bonefish Grill, too.
