Hi Chatters!
Just popping in for a few minutes while waiting on DH to bring home dinner.

I knew I didn't want to post on the "What are WE doing to our children" thread, so I wait until it's umpteen pages long, finally post, and now I have to defend my views. Actually, if it was just my views, that'd be okay..........I have to defend why I'm posting in the first place!
You'd think I'd learn to stick to fluff. I come here for entertainment and stress relief!

My DH and the older two girls are in Fredericksburg, where the car broke down! We've only had the car for 3 weeks and suddenly it won't start anymore! So they've been stranded and are waiting to get it towed. Pain in the rooty!
Why hello Bon Bon!! How are you this fine evening?Bbgrizzle said:Hi! Jay! Good to have you back!![]()

This one Jay, at the very end.................or thereabouts.
Bonnie, what a pain.
I fed the kids TV dinners. They begged and begged. Dh seems to be under the weather. He got up early and did yard work, then he's slept most of the day since and complains of headache.
Jay, Mom is doing good now. The first time I called her after we got back home she was really depressed because the dr. said she can put no weight at all on that foot for 3-4 months at least, and then MAYBE the bone won't die (I don't know which bone, she just says "the bone"). I didn't even know bones could die, and I suppose they have to go in and do something then. But, she is in hospital at least through mid-week next doing physical therapy. I talked to her yesterday and she was much more cheerful and seemed to be figuring out how to handle things. My father and she own a business, and my father had a stroke at a young age (when I was 9), so he can't run it alone. Thankfully, they have one full time and two part time employees, and they are talking of making one full time to help dad run the store, then Mom can still do the books and ordering and such at home. I hope she doesn't feel the need to go down there, it would be best if she'd stay home and let it heal. You know the more you move around, the more possibility of a bump or a jar. Anyway, that's the story.
Nick seems completely back to normal, though his bruises are still visible, they don't seem to pain him as much and the scab has already come off his neck burn. He's still nervous about riding in the car, and when a semi nearly cut us off the other day, he started saying over and over "No, not another car wreck, not another car wreck, please not another car wreck." It's hard, but I know he'll get through it.
