Denise's All Famous Cruise Tips coming right to your PM box! :teeth:

I'm not even back at work yet, and I've stayed busy all day, too. :sad2:

Hello! Back from the movies. Barnyard was really cute! The kids loved it and Brent and I were laughing a lot.

Dinner for me, I have a lot of leftover spaghetti sauce so I think I'll make more spaghetti tonight! I don't have any garlic bread though. Oh well, we'll live!

Hey Bonnie! We'll have to go and see Barnyard. It looks to be very cute.

For garlic bread, you can take a few slices of bread, spread butter and sprinkle garlic on them, pop them in the oven, and WA-LAH! Yum! :)

Good idea, Denise! I'll have to see if I have some garlic powder. :thumbsup2

So, what's going on? I told my friend across the street that I would like to start walking to get some exercise. She was all interested. So we were gonna go tonight and what does she do? Invites all the kids to come too! Not that I mind hanging with the kids, but when you bring along a 5-year-old and a 2-year-old, it will be more like a stroll, and probably won't get the heart rate up too much, ya know? Oh well, I guess it's better than nothing. :teeth:

Hi Bonnie!
ooh I love spaghetti!
for us it will probably be chinese food. We'll probably have clams in garlic, chinese green beans, rice, and probably an egg and seafood mix casserole thing. The last is not hard to make, and its really yum-but it must be eaten with rice.

I think your neighbor missed the point of your walking excursion! Maybe she has one of those racing strollers and she cann push them at hight speeds!

It sounds like you really like Chinese food, Minty! I like it too! I didn't eat it for YEARS because I thought it was all slimy veggies (like those icky sprouts) and fried rice, which I don't enjoy. Then I discovered beef and broccoli, and mandrin chicken at Panda Express. Plus I learned you could get steamed white rice instead of fried rice. Now I like Chinese food! Yum!! Plus, I enjoy a nice fortune cookie from time to time. :)

Jay, I love the name Jackson for a boy. If I ever have a boy I'm gonna name him Jaxon, with an X. I think that is COOL. :thumbsup2

Denise, did you say what you were having for dinner tonight?

the reason we eat so much Chinese food is because DBF is from Taiwan and knows how to cook this stuff. He has taught me how sort of and we cook it together. But yes, I do really like Chinese food. There are so many different cuisines rolled up into that country. The stuff we normally find here in the States is Cantonese food. Thats where you get your fried rice and egg rolls and such. Also Dim Sum if you've heard of it. Not my favorite type. They have Szchewan which is spicy which I LOVE. We ate that last night down in Chinatown. They also have northern style, which consists of dumplings and such. Thats really good. And of course Taiwan has its own stuff too, so I get to experience all the different kinds-there is so much more than they offer in Chinese Restaurants that target americans!

Hmmm, I did not know that! When we were in San Francisco a couple years ago, we went to Chinatown and there were all these dead animals hanging in the store windows. It was very stinky and unattractive. That turned me off to Chinese food for a LONG time! But Panda Express gets a :thumbsup2 .

Chinese food- Yum!

Nope, not sure where we're going to eat. At Beef-O-Brady's kids eat free, but not sure if we'll do that or something here, since we went out last night.

Bonnie- I think your neighbor missed the whole point! LOL

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: Dead animals!

We have a store like that here. Its a Chinese BBQ place. They put the animals in the window to cool and let the BBQ sauce which is kinda like honey drip off the meat. Believe it or not, it is really good. Especially the roast duck. But I can understand that it might not look all that great if you're not expecting it :goodvibes

If you ever come to Chicago I will have to help you experience "real" Chinese food! I'm sure I can find some things you will LOVE even more than the Panda! And I promise-no dead animals in the window! :teeth:

Okay, it's a deal! I like to pretend that meat is made in the grocery store; that it never used to oink, moo, or walk around. ;)

Denise, I've never heard of Beef-O-Brady's, but when there is a kids eat free thing, does that include teenagers? Or kids under age 12?
