The Mad Chatters thread Part 2

UGH...it is pouring down rain here right now. Just pouring. We need more rain like I need a hole in the head (wow, that is something my dad would say, scary). I hope it clears up by Jason's soccer practice tonight. He will miss three weeks full of games and practices on our trip in September/October. I don't want him to miss any more than that if possible. Heck, yes "I" do...but he would just start in on bugging me more about how long we are going to be gone. I swear I am raising the only child who is upset that they have to be gone so long at WDW/DCL!!

Does anyone know if you have to fold up a stroller to get on the monorail? YES, this question is one I could ask over on another board....but....(ellipses in Paige's honor).........I don't want to leave this thread...."it's safer here".... :rotfl:

No, my 11 year old came home the last day of school complaining that we just HAD to pick the first week of vacation, as all his friends had PLANS without him. He got over it on the plane, though.

It was pouring sheets when we got out of the mall yesterday, driving home, we could see more coming down out West. At our house, nary a drop!

I suppose that can be true for some types of Breast Cancer-if the mammary gland is actively producing milk there may be less chance of a tumor developing. But there are many different forms of breast cancer and I don't think that breastfeeding may help against them.
Although, my boss and colleagues have determined that in rats (who are social animals) have a lesser likelihood of developing mammary tumors and live longer in a supportive group environment than those who are housed alone. Perhaps the breastfeeding is also supporting that close-knit social interaction with her child and therefore lessens the chance of tumors developing. Its a long shot, but possible.

Jay yes you do have to fold a stroller going on both the monerail and the buses

Much safer here...........I venture out into the other threads only when it gets slow over here.

No, you don't have to fold, and it's rare that it's ever full enough that you would feel obligated to. They fit quite nicely right in the middle by the wall separating the sides of each car.

Bonnie,

ONLY two slices of pizza...keep thinking of it that way...only two slices of pizza.

What do you have planned for dinner?

hmm thats weird Paige. The last time I rode the monorail (granted this was a bit ago) some CM forced a mom in front of me to fold hers up. Perhaps it depends upon how crowded it is in there

Mindy, we've always just wheeled on to the monorail and there were never any announcements/signs/attendants saying to fold.

But when it gets crowded, we do fold.

Thank goodness I am not raising the only one...I know he will get over it by the time we drive under the Welcome to WDW signs EVERYTHING else will be long gone from his mind...it's just DUH...it's only soccer...you are only 10 years old...you are not training for the World Cup. **takes a deep breath** I love that boy more than anything but he sure can be bull headed sometimes!!

Ah, well, Jay, perhaps you'd better post it.............or just wait and see.

Jay, your trip sounds AWESOME!! WDW and a cruise, what could be better? The last time we did a WDW trip (3 years ago :() we also did 7-days on the Magic. That was a dream vacation for us! Hey, now that you have my address, maybe you should send me a postcard. :)

I wish it would rain here too!

Thanks, Paige! I missed you too! :sunny: I'm so glad everything is okay.

Minty, how's work going today?

We're having spaghetti, salad and garlic bread for dinner.

Kelly, where have you been? Ditching us for the more popular threads? ;)

I forgot to mention to MM, I am the same way about not wanting folks in my business. I mentioned this surgery only to this thread, my immediate family, my second grade colleagues (except one who would spread it over the entire state in 10 seconds flat) and my bosses................and the latter two only because I thought they may need to know as I start work tomorrow.

Bringing it up on this thread was the best I could've done, as it helped me work out a few trepidations, and you can see how supportive they are!

Everybody: I'm getting a bit uncomfy now. I'm going to lay down and read my Mad Diary of a Bride. I love that book!

Ooh! I'm going to Bonnie's for supper! Yum yum! Sorry my post was so lame, Mindy!

We have a bunch of

running around the office! Hopefully I can stay on a little longer this time!

HI EVERYBODY!!

I have the need to make a confession...my youngest is already 5 but yes, I am going to bring a stroller to the parks. Not because he cannot walk (he can and most of the time will) but because he has sensory integration disorder and when he gets to the brink of an episode, I know that he needs to curl up somewhere familiar (and that is where the stroller comes in), take a cool drink and relax. Without the stroller we would be in for a very miserable vacation. UGH. His therapist suggested this before our last Disney trip (last September) and it made our park days MUCH better than the trip before with no stroller...so we plan to bring one as long as he needs it/fits in it. **do you see now why I was scared of going "over there"?** :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: ;) Can't hide from you!! ;) :rotfl2:

I think I'm clear at the moment! I started to respond to Mindy's post about 2 - 3 pages back and all heck broke loose here!

I love working with my family on days like this!! We've been walking around the office with a bicycle pump under our armpits making farting noises

I love that pic Kelly!

Jay, we took the stroller for my oldest when he was six. He only has ADHD, but we thought it made for a good "grounding" spot for him..........he loved it and used it.

Younger barely fit into the same stroller at age barely 4, so he won't be having one again.........he's my giant baby!
