I will be in and out for the rest of the afternoon. I have some laundry :laundy: to get done and I am hoping to get to watch :happytv: the show Take Home Chef on TLC (I don't know why, but I love that show). It's a rare thing that I actually have the time to sit down during the day and watch it...but for today, I will try!

What are you all having for dinner? I think we are having southwest grilled chicken, corn on the cob and yellow rice. *yum*

After dinner my oldest has soccer practice and my younger two want to come along to play with the other little siblings that get stuck coming to practice. Hopefully it will cool down a bit before we are stuck outside for two hours!

See you all later! :yay:

Howdy, all! Jay! Great to see you!

We ordered pizza for lunch. I ate 2 HUGE pieces and I feel disgusting now. So much for my lo carb diet I was gonna start today.

MM, feel free to whine to us any time you like. You certainly have good reason! :) And that's what friends are for!

I hope Paige's surgery is going well. Paige, check in when you can!

mmm pizza! We had potbelly sandwiches here. they were yummy. Potbelly's is kind of like Quizno's, for those who have never heard of them.

Hugs for Paige! I hope everything is a-ok!

Jay, people somtimes call me Minty because once upon a time Bonnie and Denise were saying how they sometimes mispell my name when typing. One said Minday the other Monday. I said thats ok I get it all the time, but the best mispelling I'd received was Minty. And they liked it so much it stuck!

MInty, I LOVE your Ariel Siggy! That Dusty Sky, she's handy to have around! ;)

yes she does some fabulous work! Wonder how she does it? I wish I could learn!

Hey girls! How's it going?

Kelly, what's up? How's everybody's day going?

Mine is going ok. Just hanging in there. Today is one of those days at work where heck can potentially break loose, but so far it hasn't happened yet so I'm hoping it won't

Okay, so Minty, I was reading a couple of threads about breastfeeding TODDLERS (one was about bfing them in the WDW parks. We're talking about 3 and 4-year-olds and these mothers are totally defending it.

What do you think about that?

Hi guys, what's shakin'? Look at all the new old people coming around.

I could feel your love.............'course, I still got upset just as they were getting ready to take me back and cried a little bit........I'm such a baby........but they were very nice too and said they'd take good care of me. I was asleep not long after.

It was the lipoma tumor and it was huge. He said about the size of two eggs end to end. I have a two inch incision. It doesn't hurt AT ALL.....but he told me he gave me a local, and I wonder when it will wear off. I do have some uncomfortableness more deep.......I wouldn't call it pain yet.

They gave me a coke when I woke up..............you guys wouldn't know since we haven't been together in person, but I am a coca cola addict! I can't even have it in the house or I will drink it all day long. That was a great thing for me to wake up to.

So, I'm home, dh went back to work (gotta love that man work ethic!) and my mom has had the kids playing upstairs. I'm a bit unsteady on my feet, and I slept for a while, but all in all, not so bad.

Thanks for thinking of me!

HOW do you find these threads!!?? And what on earth would I do for entertainment without my good friends, the Mad Chatters, to direct me to such interesting threads!! ;)

MM, sorry to hear about your back. I hope the shots help for a long while so you can have some relief.

Bonnie, HOW can they bf ones so old? I stopped with both of mine when they started biting..........about 8-10 months old..........mine were late teethers.

Jay, you're the best.

Wow.....we have a lot of 4/5 year olds between us, and quite a few adolescents/preadolescents. A lot of us are in education , too.........no wonder we all get along so well!

Paige, I'm so glad you had it removed and that you came through it okay. I'm so happy for you, and I hope you feel better soon.

:grouphug: (very gentle hugs of course)...Glad to hear you are home already and not in a ton of pain! Even more glad to hear that the surgery went well and they got the entire thing out!! Will this be the end of the troubles from that double egg long lipoma? Take good care of yourself and make sure to drink lots of Coke...if they give it to you in the hospital it MUST be good for you :rotfl: .

Thanks for checking in! And you were in our thoughts today! :)

Paige!! I'm so glad everything went ok! Here's some flowers for you so you can get well soon! :flower2: :flower1: :daisy: :rose:

Bonnie, the first thing I thought of when I read your post is *ouch!* if I were the mom I would be really concerned about the little teeth on those toddlers! That and I think prolonged bfding increases the potentiality of the child to have weight problems later on-all that milkfat. So I would be against it. ESPECIALLY in public! Theres no reason anyone should just whip it out and commence feeding in public. Thats what bathrooms or hotel rooms are for!

I'm going to ask the dr. when I go for my follow-up if I'm more susceptible to them now. I wonder also if you are more likely to get them if overweight...........just a thought, as I am, and I know that can raise the chances for many things. They are completely contained, sort of cutting themselves off from the rest of the body, which is how they know they're benign, just by their nature, so that particular one is gone, gone, gone.

I missed you Bonnie! Kept thinking if you were there, you'd be making me laugh!

oh btw Paige, I'm drinking a Coke just as I read your post! It will be my Coke in Paige's honor now!

Thanks Mindy! I agree, I think once the child can eat solid food enough for most of their nutrition, and being as we have such a varied diet here in the US, there's no reason for prolonged breastfeeding.

Although, studies seem to show it can benefit the mother by decreasing her cancer risk.
