What are your plans today?

Plans, just playing chauffer for DH to and from the train station. I already took him at 6:00 this morning. I also need to go through my teaching stuff and find some early readers and practice with Ainslee. I have not worked with her on reading this whole summer. I was going to do it last night but I got lazy. If it's not too hot, the girls and I might go on a picnic.

Picnic will probably just be down at the little lake behind our townhouse. It's really pretty.

Ainslee has been souding out simple 3 and 4 letter words. But I haven't done any sight words with her. And Caitlin I taught to read before Kindergarten by just reading easy readers with her and pointing at each word as I read it. She would read it back to me (memorization) several times, but then she would remember those words the next time she saw them in a different story. It works surprisingly well.

Sounds beautiful! Hubby keeps wanting to move by a lake. It's so peaceful there. We enjoy going to our neighbor's house. Their house backs up to a real pretty lake.

I need to get started with DS, starting him reading, too. He can read "STOP" on a stop sign. He can read (and recognize) all of his friend's names so far. Good start.

Yeah, Cassi, do you have any plans for your anniversary? DH will be celebrating our 10th anniversary in October, and we need ideas. We'll probably just do a weekend getaway or something.
