Paige, like i was saying in the post they are kinda unorthodox, but I think the kids will get a real kick out of them. I try to make all my lessons mean something. We either will be talkign about an artist/period or I attach the lesson to thier main classroom instruction. it's more meanignful to them that way.

Well Jay so far the favorite lesson would have to be the chalk Pastel Cardinal's I had my 4th graders do( Ohios state bird...which they are starting to learn about)

Favorite I plan on doing.... between 2 right now, well have to see how they go, they are kinda experimential.
1) We will discuss cave paintings, showing them examples. Then as a a class we will use the large roll paper and make a cave wall that we will make cave drawings ont o represnt ourselves and out class. i'm going to have every class and grade do this and hang them in the halls.
2) Talking about Michelangelo and how he had to lie on his back to paint the cceilign of the sistine chapel. We will tape paper to the bottoms of our desk and use markers(paint would be too messy for littleones) and "paint" a scene.

Sounds AWESOME!! Fun, educational, creative...awesome!

Goodnight horned king!

And, no, I ate the last of it raw tonight, talking to you! Do you have spies or something?????????????????
Hee, hee, hee...no spies...I just know my cousins (actually I know myself, I would have done the same thing)!

Nick is a DOLL!! What a cutie! Is that a Big Bad Wolf shirt? Jason would love one of those!

Thanks, we like him! We found the shirt at the Contemporary's gift shop...........not the one on the one side with all the toys, but the one across the way.

I was hoping to find 3 Pigs Disney style for Luke (yep, I still like to match 'em), but never did.

You know, that Alice looks a bit spooky to me in that pic........maybe she was on duty a little too long...............

Have I never shown you my kids before?

Here's one with Luke in it too..............

Oooookay...since you said somethin' first... :rotfl: I was thinking that too...well, that and wondering why they cast her as Alice when she has such dark natural hair (you can see it in the photos and her eyebrows). SSHHHH...don't let anyone hear this. I once saw a thread where others got big time bashed for commenting on a CM's "look alikeness".

I just love little boys (been partial to them since I had three myself;)). And those are two ADORABLE little guys! Nick has such big eyes. You are gonna have problems beating the girls off of him any time now!! Good luck with that one!! And Luke has such sweet little cheeks...how do you ever manage to say no when he looks up at you?! Both of them have such bright smiles! I know his dragon shirt is not a Disney one, but that looks like Mulan's dragon, Mushu! Another shirt Jason would want to add to his collection.

**SSHHH. Don't tell, but, I still do the matching thing too. One day I figure I will have to gift them with some time with a therapist to help them recover from all of the things I made them wear as kids.**

Yes, if I can't match them exactly, I like to mirror match the colors.........like in that pic, the blues, silver/grays and blacks match.........just what is background and accent on one is opposite on the other.

I never noticed, but that dragon DOES look like Mushu!

I can't say no to Luke all that often, actually, his dad says I spoil him.........I waited 7 years for another baby, and he was only conceived by fertility drugs. But I am a teacher, I know how to set limits and stick with them, so when I DO say no, it's no.

Nick already has girl issues. His best little friend and he were talking about the middle school dances and who to ask, and the friend told him he didn't know what Nick was worried about, any of the girls will go with him, he's cool and popular and wears the best clothes and has a cell phone (well, that's because grandma buys the clothes). The cell is so we don't have to put in an extra land line upstairs and don't have to have our phones tied up.

Good morning! I woke up at 5:00 and I can't go back to sleep. Looks like it's still raining!

Jay! What about my email, lady? If you send one to Paige, you gotta send one to me. That's the rules! ;)

Saw this on another site and thought it was kinda funny. I removed a couple of them.

50 Things I MUST NOT DO at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

I will not poke Hufflepuffs with spoons, nor will I insist that their House colors indicate that they are "covered in bees".

No matter how good a fake Australian accent I can do, I will not imitate Steve Irwin during Care of Magical Creatures class.

Growing marijuana or hallucinogenic mushrooms is not "an extra credit project for Herbology".

"I've heard every possible joke about Oliver Wood's name" is not a challenge.

I will not go to class skyclad.

The Giant Squid is not an appropriate date to the Yule Ball.

I will not use Umbridge's quill to write "I told you I was hardcore".

I will stop referring to showering as "giving Moaning Myrtle an eyeful".

If a classmate falls asleep, I will not take advantage of that fact and draw a Dark Mark on their arm.

House elves are not acceptable replacements for Bludgers.

Starting a betting pool on the fate of this year's Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher is tasteless and tacky, not a clever money-making concept.

Adding the name "Bueller" to Professor Binns' roster is not funny.

"Springtime for Voldemort" is not an acceptable suggestion for the class play.

Seamus Finnegan is not "after me Lucky Charms".

I will not refer to the Weasley twins as "bookends".

I will not refer to the Patil twins as "bookends".

The Slytherin prefect is named Draco Malfoy, not "Rocky Horror."

I will not call Lucius Malfoy "Jareth".

I will not bring a Magic Eight Ball to Divination class.

I am not to refer to the Potions classroom as "Kitchen Stadium".

I will not tell Ron and Hermione to "Get a room" whenever they start to fight.

The Forbidden Forest is forbidden for a reason.

I am not a tribble Animagus.

I am allowed to have a toad, rat, cat, or owl. I am not allowed to have a reticulated python, snow leopard, Tasmanian devil, or piranha.

I do not weigh the same as a duck.

Remus Lupin does not want a flea collar.

Sirius Black is not #24601.

I will not lick Trevor.

I will stop asking the Arithmancy teacher what the square root of -1 is.

I am not being repressed.

Calling Lucius Malfoy "Luscious Mouthful" is just plain gross.

I will not change the password to the prefects' bath to "Makes getting clean almost as much fun as getting dirty".

There is no such thing as an Invisibility Thong.

I am not a Pinball Wizard.

Asking "How do you keep a Gryffindor in suspense?" and walking away is only funny the first time.

I will not offer to pose nude for Colin Creevey.

I will not offer to pose nude for Dean Thomas.

It is a bad idea to tell Professor Snape he takes himself too seriously.

It is a bad idea to tell Professor McGonagall she takes herself too seriously.

Sir Cadogan is not one of the knights who say "NI".

I will not offer to prepare tandoori owl.

I will stop asking when we will learn to make "Love Potion Number Nine".

I will not ask Dumbledore to show me the pointy hat trick.

I will not greet Professor McGonagall with "What's new, pussycat, whoa whoa who whoa whoa...?"

There is not now, nor has there ever been, a fifth House at Hogwarts, and I am not a member of that house, nor am I its founder.

I will not take out a life insurance policy on Harry Potter.

Paige, what adorable pics of your boys! They are handsome little fellas. I agree about Alice, she's pretty scary in that picture.

Funny Hogwart's stuff, Bonnie!

Thanks on the compliments on my boys, I am so proud of them both.

Well, looks like we've got a bad tire, I'm going to go get it fixed while dh and Nick do lawn maintenance. Guess we'll leave around noon.

I'm here, I am on countdown to my trip!! Heh, got so excited I started my trip report when my ME tags came...lol And to day, my luggage tags came too! Sweet!

Ok I am a little excited!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
