No, haven't been there and I haven't watched Schindler's List either. I'm probably one of the few people who hasn't seen it!

I am a very sensitive person. My sister was in a car accident when she was a month away from her due date. She broke a couple of ribs and bruise up a little, but when she went into labor 5 weeks later.... I could have cried! Her ribs were still healing, I literally hurt in my body all over for her. I felt so bad for her. Just like when DS last week had to have stitches (where he's teeth went through his chin area). I teared up and physically felt pain for him.

I know, I'm weird I guess this is what they mean by sympathy pains

I haven't seen Schindler's List either, but I have been to the Holocaust Museum. It's a very somber place. I do have to say that you feel good in a sense that you were able to bear witness to what went on (nothing graphic or anything) I just mean you know what took place. Does that sound about right, Bonnie?

Ohh.. labor with healing ribs - that sounds just awful!

Yes, he's certified to teach Art. He's been looking for a job for two years (this is the third summer). We had a lot of cuts the year he graduated and it looks like the schools are finally hiring people again. There have been a ton of retirements. But because of the cuts, there are a lot of former teachers getting the job before DH who hasn't been in a classroom in 2 years.

There have been about 10 openings so far this summer, where there were only 1 in the last 2 years!

Javamom, have you seen the Amber Brown stories? They are very cute too, she's a second grader. My second graders love them and they're a great transition from Junie B. They also love Amelia Bedelia.

Kelly, they put DS on Concerta. Does it last the full day well? Is there time for homework before it's gone? The dr. said it's the "cadillac" of the time releases.

Everybody: DS has dropped down to the 20th percentile in height. He is not happy that he's so short. I tried to tell him how I like smaller people and how I looked for short guys to date. His response: Mom, guys don't like to hear about who their mom liked to date!
