Will now try chocolate to lure Toots
It's Sweetest Day Again??? :confused3

I need me a "Sweetest"!

Chocolate lured her in I see! ((below))

Howdy, Friends!! :wave2:

I am pleased to report that I am on the mend. Bronchitis and sinus infection at the same time no is fun.

Wendy! Been eatin' any gnarly corn dogs as of late? Which condiments do you put on such an edible, phallic monstrosity?

:
Glad you're better!

You KNOW I AM famous for things other than eating corndogs (with mustard, by the way)

And I LOVED DL! And DCA too. My mother was on her best behavior, and DH only complained a little. Riley is a whopping 42 inches tall now, so he got to go on a lot of rides for the first time. ToT is his favorite! And he rode Space Mountain 3 times in a row. Btw, DL Space Mountain KILLS the one in MK. And PoTC? SOoooooo much better! We ate at Blue Bayou, breakfast w/ Minnie at the Plaza Inn, and had one of the best meals of my life at Jazz Kitchen in DtD.

We really liked the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay on the HM. Very cute. Splash was broken down every time we went by, so we missed that one. Other than that, we did almost everything. Fantasmic & Aladdin were down for refurb, which was a bummer, but I knew that going in so it wasn't a surprise. Other than that, no complaints!!! We got Dreamed too--- got the cool Mickey Ears in the tunnel between the castle and Frontierland. I was soooo excited. My family thought I was bonkers. Which I am, of course.

Weather was amazingly nice, and we really liked HoJo, though the walk home was a bit much at night. Shuttle fees were a bit much, so we skipped it.
UGH! Sorry you missed Aladin :sad1: I love that show! I love the Nightmare Before Christmas Haunted Mansion thingie too! Glad you had such a fab time.

PICTURES!

My whole family lives in California. I miss them to pieces!
Probably not a huge deal to you Washington DC area folks but I am literally about one mile away from Mr. Obama right now as I type this. Literally thousands of people lined up along the sidewalk waiting to get into the park grounds to see him. (I'm NOT going to the rally -- just close by and saw the crowds as I drove past.)

To give fair representation to the other side, I've seen McCain's Straight Talk Express twice in the last few months BUT I've yet to see ANY of the four candidates on the two major party tickets in person this year (just keep seeing their motorcades and such).

You seriously didn't go see HIM??

1. Ack!

2. Really? Are any of those things related to your weekend skillz?

3. I really think you (or you and your DD or whatever combination of kids you might want/need to do) should take a trip to see your family in California if one doesn't materialize for you soon, even if your DH can't make the trip with you. Though I understand financial issues in these times also if that is what is keeping you away. (If it's JUST your DH, just sayin'.)

4. No. Baseball games and time spent with a friend kept me busy for most of the day today.

Hi Wendy! Glad to see you climbed out of your tres chic wine box long enough to post!:rotfl: I know, I was super bummed about missing Aladdin too. Maybe next time? (Umm, the chances of getting DH to spring for another trip to CA are about the same as my chances of becoming a Victoria's Secret model. ;) )

Sadly Rob, my basement is still in shambles, but it's out of my hands until the water damage guys pick up their 357 heaters, tubes, and dehumidifiers. It sounds like the boiler room of an aircraft carrier in here. (Not that I've been in one. Just assuming they're loud!!) There is also not a drop of moisture to be found in the air. The inside of my nose feels like the Kalahari. Lovely picture I'm painting, no?

Off to a farm for hay ride & pumpkin picking! May pet a barnyard animal or two, but only if I remember my industrial size bottle of Purell. May also attempt the corn maze, though we've had to cheat to get out the past few times. Damn crafty farmers.

Thanks for the welcomes.

Rob - You aren't the lone McCain supporter here :)

Things have been a bit crazy with the move. Now if my furniture/stuff would just arrive. At the moment I have way too much empty space.

Yay! Punkin-pickin'! Farm mammals! Awww, family fun this time of year is the best!

I'm sure you could be a Victoria's Secret-seeecret model in your own "boo-dwar" ;) That's one way to score a repeat trip to Disneyland/Aladdin.

Sorry I'm newish too and didn't realize you were new! I can just see me welcoming a vacationing hag to this thread  So! WELCOME!

Rob's a McCain supporter? :scared1: I think if anything he's a Sarah Palin supporter ;) Cuz she's hot.
I live in THEE most McCain-ish conservative Republican state there is. GAH!!! *disclaimer: I vote for the individual I feel is the best. Not for the party she/he represents.

BUT, this makes me want to vote Democrat just to be a bad-a$$ :cool2:

2. NO weekend sucky-wife Skillz AT ALL, trust me there!
3. Yes! I do want to go visit my female family members and do girlie things with the nieces (Libby Lu , for example). Financial issues would be solved if the Utah Power Ball would pick my numbers!
4. How sweet, you have friends in real life!

I'm playing hookie from church to have a "do-nothing" day (which makes the Baby Jesus cry!)

4. Maybe. (dork)

I wish Palin was running with Obama! That would be some sweet history in the making! Or something.

Anywhoo, went to Memory Grove today which is a dog acceptable park that is AMAZING! (Took tons of pics). The leaves on the trees were all shades of red, orange, yellow, and even purple. :cloud9: Beautiful!

I love places that allow dogs since I am a "dog person" rather than a "cat person". This place is located by our state capital and there's just miles of cozy paths and water streams with little ponds and waterfalls. Monuments and memorials along each path, as well as plenty of benches for the fat and worn out (*cough*).

I did notice that besides being a fabulous place to socialize with other dog people (that sounded odd :upsidedow ) there was a super big abundance of gay folks there too. Lots of many females and femmy men. BUT nicer people you cant find anywhere. My 2 fat Golden Retrievers were a big HIT with the lesbians for some reason ;) popcorn::

Anyway, fun was had by all. :yay: <<family fun smilie

Uh, yes, I'm sure it was your Goldens that were a big hit with the lesbians. It had nothing to do with the pretty lady walking them.

I've taken two sleeping pills and soon will be feeling loopy. Too bad there's no one here to play with tonight!

Happy Monday chatters. I see that we had a drive by "Tooting" over the weekend. Maybe she will grace us with her presence more often! :rolleyes1

Hi Shannon! Glad you had a great vacation and welcome back - now start offending me young lady!

I realize it's a bit of an oxymoron, but HAPPY MONDAY!

Wendy: When you first mentioned the name of the park you went to, I thought for sure it was a cemetery! Then you mentioned dogs, and I thought "Wow. A PET Cemetary." Loved that movie btw.) I'm with Rob. I think those lovely ladies were using your dogs to get closer to their owner!

Awwww, all hopped up & no one to notice!

That would be because of watching that sad game on TBS last night :(

 Rough night. Did y'all ever get your furniture moved in, or did you watch the game from the comfy hard floor? (You DO realize you now have to say "y'all" on a regular basis and learn to like grits, right?)

I plan on kidnapping Toots for at least one lunch hour this week, so I'll be sure to Chinese water torture her into showing up more often. I've heard I have Mad Water Torture Skillz. Still working on my Mad Offensive Skillz. If it makes you feel better, I thought of you whilst chowing down on your calamari kin yesterday.

Aww, I feelz so special now! Tell that hag that if she doesn't start posting on a regular basis that I am going to continue to text her horrible pictures of myself. Now that is torture! ;)

morning, all! Rob, sorry you were here all alone! I was at a going away party, my cousin is going to Kuwait with the national guard, leaving on Halloween!

Bonnie!! You came back!!! or should I say YOU'RE ALIVE!!!
Meagan is being Demi Lovato as Mitchie. Catie is being a little US diva, as in take a military camo outfit, stylize it and add a zillion sequins, that would be Catie. It is very cute, and her winter coat will match well with it, as it also has sequins down both sleeves (its a Hannah Montana coat, black with a big pink butterfly with jewel eyes on the back and silver sequin "racing stripes" down the arms)

1. I actually kind of like Monday mornings now. Maybe it's because I usually don't drag my lazy astarstar into the office until after Noon on them.

2. I know! I mean look at what I'm capable of sober and now imagine me with my inhibitions down. ;)

Then it's spankings all around!
