Hi Kar! I've been able to read about once a week but not much more than that. My life has been super crazy lately, a definite "interesting experience" that's for sure. I think things may actually be calming down a bit but I'm honestly not sure I want them to. Sometimes life is the funnest when it's at its craziest.RoBbIe!!!! Where have you been?We have all missed you!!!!

Rob, we're glad you're back around a bit, we'll try to keep ya from being too bored.
Hi, Kar, Claudia and Kim
I am completely stressing out about my mother. She has had severe upper abdominal pain and swelling just below her right ribs since Friday, can hardly eat or drink anything. Her PCP did bloodwork, x-ray and CT, but said they all look "the same as 2 years ago", and recommended a specialist. The stupid specialist's office called today and said the soonest they could get her in is JULY 17!!! Umm, hello, she CAN'T EAT without severe pain and nausea, she is having to take Vicodin for the pain in order to function halfway normally, she is a cancer survivor, and they want her to wait 2 MONTHS...![]()

...take her to another doctor - PRONTO!![]()
that's what we are saying too, Kim. She really needs to find a competent primary care doc, I think, and then hopefully find a gastroenterologist that can see her in the short term as well. She was going to talk with my sister in law to find out who the doc is that found out she had Celiac's, go from there. It is just SO frustrating and scary, knowing she feels SO badly and not being able to help, kwim?
It is absolutely frustrating....when one suffers and it appears to be a major disruption to their daily life then CHANGES NEED TO BE MADE....Mom needs a NEW MD. PERIOD. Are you kidding JULY.
Good Luck Kristi and Mom!

Kim and Kar, thanks! Yeah, she just isn't able to EAT or actually digest any foods, but heck, that'd be QUITE the weight loss plan, I guess, huh? She has a hernia in the area of where the pain is, currently we are thinking that possibly the hernia is strangulating the intestine track, causing a blockage or partial blockage. It is STARTING to clear somewhat, but still isn't going away completely.
