After all of the crapola we have eaten this week, I should be starting a diet too! But, it'll have to wait until after Dayton! Speaking of which...

If you don't here from me by Jan 2nd (we come back the 1st), it's because I've been locked up for drowning my mother in her nasty eggnog. *sigh*

DH calls her "the Black Hole" because she "sucks the life out of every situation."
Its gonna be a loooooong weekend!!!!

Howdy, Chatters! My week off is almost over!

I had to get up stinkin' EARLY this morning, so's I could take DH to meet his car pool. So I went grocery shopping and got all stocked up with all kinds of meats and cheeses cause I am starting Atkins today.

Did ya hear that Trisha? I've already started, hag! I am eating my scrambled eggs, sausage and cheese as I'm typing. DH says he will do it with me.


Rella, how many more days, lady? Do you know?

It's coming up soon only 39 days!!!!!!!!

Atkins huh... okay, no sugar for you chickie! Good luck!! You go girl!!!

PS: If I find any meat or cheese in my house I'll send it your way!!
(I do have some veggie hot dogs... you wanna try um?? I bet they have carbs... but no fat!! )

After listening to DS9 coughing and breathing funny through most of the night last night (and getting very little sleep for myself because of that), DW took him to the doctor this morning who then had us take him to the hospital where he is now spending the night and getting breathing treatments every 4 hours! DS9 didn't even want to go to the doctor this morning, was saying he felt fine -- we're obviously glad we made him go.

ETA: I'll be off and on MSN this evening if anyone cares to chat there while the DIS is down.

Ok file the following under... More than you ever wanted to know:

I've had an interesting morning. I have the wedding today... the choir is singing, but no robes! Yikes!! What to wear!! I'm so used to wearing slacks and just covering them up! But this time we're invitees too so I must wear a dress. A DRESS!! And one appropriate for a reception!! I can't even remember the last time I wore a dress... any dress!!! Oh ya, I had an evening dinner dance and wore a lovely black lacy number. Which of course is not at all appropriate for an afternoon wedding. any way....

Soooooo, all week I've been planning to wear a nice cranberry suit. Coldwater Creek, knit, not too stuffy, not too dressy. Well I put the sucker on this morning... and it's TOO BIG!! Way too big!!! When was the last time THAT happened! (Maybe this veggie thing is working.) Nice problem except, WTH do I wear now!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I dig... way, way back and find something. Probably too dressy for an afternoon wedding but it's the only thing reasonably in fashion that fits.
Then I realize... I used to wear black hose with this dress. Fine... do I have any?? I haven't worn hose since.... ok, ok, I know TMI. So does anyone even wear black hose anymore??? Is that terribly out of fashion?? Can you wear black hose during the day??? I don't know!! I find I am way WAY out of my element here! Oh dear... I hope I don't stand out from the crowd in a "Look, I had to dig way back in my closet cuz I didn't have anything to wear" kind of way! LHM!

Well, time to get ready... feel free to think of me and laugh to yourself, imagining my pain and discomfort in heels and hose and a dress trying to have fun and not think about how I look.
(Anybody who wants to nominte me for "What not to wear" feel free! )

Hi All! Sorry it took me awhile to get here and post but things have been hectic here. Not only WAS DS9 in the hospital but I've also been giving DS15 driving lessons this week!

Here's a pic of DS9 and one of his baseball buddies:

My understanding is that DS9 had some sort of asthmatic reaction. When DW took him to the doctor's office on Friday morning, they tried a couple of breathing treatments there and his oxygen count was still down. (I apologize if some of this is a repeat. I've been emailing friends and family as well and don't remember who I've told what.) I guess oxygen levels in your blood should be at least 93% or something like that and a 9-year olds should be around 98% or 99% but DS9's was at 88% when he was admitted to the hospital. Friday, he pretty much just layed around and watched TV and didn't do much except what they told him to do (we did watch Shrek 3 on the DVD player in his room). Saturday, especially in the afternoon, you could tell he was feeling better and he started to get antsy because he still was confined to the hospital room (thank God his little buddy came over to entertain him). His oxygen levels got back into the high 90s and they discharged him Saturday evening so he was there for about 32 hours total.

He did pretty good today at home also. He is now taking three inhalants -- some twice a day and one every 4 hours -- and a liquid medicine (some form of steroids) once a day.

Rob, glad to hear your son is doing better. How scary for all of you! Thank goodness for doctors.

Barrel o' hags, within the next week I will be going in for an amnio and some blood work. I am going to be admitted for the testing and if everything is okay...then little he-bat may be making his appearance. So...I need some chattering to keep me busy before then! I miss you all very much.

SUSHI SISTA- I never did hear if you found a Wii or not. HOW was your Christmas?

RELLS- You know you ended up looking like da bomb!! Much better to find out something in your closet is too big then too little (trust me on that one).

BONSI WONSI PUMPKIN PONSI- I loved the pictures you posted of Christmas morning. Are you going to be dieting while at WDW? If so, I SOOOOOO admire you! What will power! GO, BON, GO!!

TWEEZEY VON HAGZEY- How I miss you. I haven't heard shut it in what feels like years. What did ya get for Christmas?! Was anyone thoughtful enough to give you a monkey? I sure hope so...I know your life is empty without them.

NYE?? I almost forgot it was already here.

We worked the last Dolphin game yesterday. I mean, could it have been dragged out any long????? Thank freaking God that is over.
Thursday is the Orange Bowl. Should be a fun game to work. KU players are staying at the Trump, right down the street from us now and VT players are at the Westin Dilpomat down the street in the other direction. There is excitment in the air!!

The night before was KJ's birthday. We went to the Ale House to celebrate and watch the PATs win When they were almost losing I just couldn't picture how my night would have went. It was an exciting game too. We were in the restaurant with mostly Giant's fans. LOL My friend B. has a big mouth and was cheering like crazy, I don't think they liked her very much. But, I have to say it was amusing.

Tonight we are just going to hang at the beach. I think the area had some fireworks that we can see from here. My parents are here from CT.
We're having shrimp cocktail, lasagna and maybe some ceaser salad. Then of course, champagne!
This is about the lowest key NYE we have ever had besides when we brought KJ home from the hospital 11 years ago today!!

Oh and my neck seems to be alot better!!
Rob, poor DS!! Although, he looks pretty happy in the hopsital bed. He must have apretty nurse nearby
