DH lovingly refers to me as his "short bus" babe. Can't you feel the love? However, I believe this may qualify me as Squid-worthy, no?



Wow. That's intimidating. It's a good thing I can't go after all-- my standard of personal hygiene would never measure up!





The shot sounds ouchy, but glad he gave you something to help! I'm sure your DH appreciates not having to follow your ECV all over the World!!!

I had an interesting day... DH was leaving straight from work today to go to the airport until..... I had a flat tire on my car, and COULD NOT get the lug nuts loosened! I'm talking WD-40, a rubber mallet, full-on JUMPING on the wrench with my whole body... Nuttin!

He races home, and OF COURSE since I've spent hours warming them up for him, he loosens them in 30 seconds! Anyway, we took him to the Metro station, then the boys and I fought DC traffic for 2 hours to get home. I am now ready to vegetate for several hours in front of the tube!

Well...I'm just back from the foot doctor!

After getting X-rayed and stuff he said I have huge heel spur in the regular spot, plus a little heel spur in the achilles tendon. Plus the corresponding Planters Fasciitis, which is the painful part. So he gave me a night splint to wear to bed, orthotics for my shoes, exercises to do, plus a big fat cortizone shot in my heel. That was not pleasant to get, but now..... Sooo much better. The shot itself made my heel sore, but in a much different way. It'll be sore for a couple days, but the inflammation is nearly gone. Talk about immediate pain relief!! He said I have to come back in a week, but that I will be good to go for my WDW trip, which is in less than 3 weeks! I'm so glad I went to the doctor!

What are you hags (and Rob) up to this evening? I have frozen lasagne in the oven and Im just gonna chill. The older girls have church activities tonight so we'll just have Ainslee home with us. My brother might come over for some TV watchin'. That's it! Exciting, no?

I've had a heck of a week....good and bad. Car died BUT.....just bought a brand spankin' new 2008 Jetta...the showroom car!!!! Should have my new baby by Thurs night!!! I'm excited but it couldn't have happened at a worse time.

Got another store thrust on my shoulders at work...up to 5 now!!! That's waaaay too much and I'm feeling it now. But...gotta pay for this new car, right? I'm so sorry I haven't been around the DIS lately to play. I really, really, REALLY miss all you guys. Hopefully things will come together soon....there's just so much crapola going on right now.

Anyhoo, I'm home today (carless) so I'll check back in a bit later. Gotta hit the treadmill right now.

I have choir on Thursday from 8 to 10 your time. And it's so close to Christmas I really shouldn't skip practice (I need all the help I can get... in more ways than one).

I was hoping some of you might be around for a lunch bunch but this computer is moving through sludge today... barely poking along so I can barely hang on. Maybe it will wake up and start moving normally... I hope so!
