Oh yes!! My philosophy: WHY GROWUP????????

This is why I go to Disney - I don't have to grow up there!!!
Me too! I love it there. Ahhh...the total happiness just surrounds me there. It's my happy place. I cannot wait to go back. Right now I am so excited about everything in general. It helped me through my pneumonia, strep, sinus infection days. Thankfully just another week of antibiotics and I will be free and clear!! Other then this lingering cough. Ugh...but I have a good cough syrup! So...I will NOT complain! ;):3dglasses

Well, I have graduation expenses and class rings, formal dresses to buy......no money left for WDW. :sad1:

Hey I am preparing myself for that pain!!! I have a few really good friends with teenagers, who are buying all of the above and making college tuition preparations and everything. The whole idea of that gives me the willies!!!

We have a senior, a sophmore and one in 7th grade. We will be poor for a few years.

Well my girls are only 2 1/2 yrs apart, but only 2 years apart in school. So For a minimum of 2 years we will have 2 in college. I call that poor financial planning on my part. What was I thinking?!

Ha! You don't get a scholarship for not doing homework and pissing your way through school.

Oy! My head hurts. I am whiney tonight!

Sliently walking away from this one. :tiptoe: You know what would be amazing right now? Ice cream. Perhaps it's time to raid my aunt's freezer.

My older sister and I were in college at the same time for 2 years and I will have just graduated when my younger sister starts college. If I don't graduate on time we might overlap by one year.

LOL Smart girl. DD15 managed to bring her German grade up from an F to a B in 2 weeks, but can't make consistent good grades? Sheesh! Ok, I am done now.

My younger sister is 15. To say she isn't doing well in school would be an understatement. I asked her once why she doesn't try because I know she's a smart kid and she said it's boring.

I suppose then that I should be very thankful for Emily finally making grade level in reading. She really struggles with reading, spells like a spelling bee champ (spells phonetically), but she can't read, and it makes me crazy because she gets frustrated and gives up.

Mary...my boys are the oppisite...read way above grade level...spell below. :confused3 Maybe we should try and mix them! ;)

My youngest has a horrible time in school, and she makes decent grades. She struggles with math and reading. Which affects everything. We put her in Kumon for a year, and it really helped her reading, but did nothing for her math. Which was weird, since it was primarily a math program.

Or we'll just put you on ignore. ;)

Let me know when! I'd love to have a few more readers around here.

Ok, what is Kumon? I'm curious.

Where my problem comes in is this: Taylor is registered as talented and gifted, and both girls know this. I also think that this makes Emily feel like she isn't cutting the mustard, but I know we don't compare them or match their accomplishments. We love them both no matter what.

 You sound like such a good mom. My mom used to keep our old projects and compare the grades. No kidding.

Ok, it must be like Sylvan here. I talked to one of our teachers (reading) about maybe putting Emily in that this summer, and she suggested against it for us. They teach completely differently than what the schools do here. I said well maybe that would be good, she said or it could completely back fire and confuse her worse. She is recommending that Emily go to 1/2 summer school for 6 weeks this summer for reading and Emily said she'd like to go and try that, to see if she can stay in an upward trend this summer.
