I have to have a biopsy done on my face on the 23rd, and my Dad just told me yesterday that they are testing him for prostate cancer on the same day. His brother died of prostate cancer a couple of months ago, so his risk is pretty high. He has a high level of something (I can't remember what it's called), so he has to have more tests. BLAH....

Yeah it does....my parents are really getting to me. They have been fighting my whole life and I am sick of it.


You might need to lower your dose of meds

OR raise them.


I am sorry about your parents, it really is not fair to put you in the middle of their fighting.

Are you going to be teaching starting this fall or next?

My classes will be done at the end of this calendar year. I am supposed to student teach in a special ed setting starting next Jan. If I get a job before that I can use my classroom as my student teaching experience. BUT, since I am a regular ed teacher, I REALLY want to student teach (especially with someone who has been teaching special ed for a while). It's just so much to learn...the laws, paperwork, disabilities, etc.

UGH Trisha...I am so sorry to hear that . No cancer in my family but a lot in DHs family which scares me .....

Thanks....I am the type if person that doesn't really worry about things until I KNOW I have to worry about it...ya know???? I can handle things with me, I just don't want anything to be wrong with my Dad.

I worry about everything...it's odd..but it makes me feel better to think of worst case scenario...so that I can feel more prepared.

Me too....and the thing I never thought to worry about is the thing that happens...so I try to worry about everything and hope none of it happens. Makes sense right

I am able to teach preschool through 3rd grade right now (regular ed). With my master's I'll be able to teach special ed K-6th grade. Soooo, I could get a job doing either. I KNOW I will be able to get a special ed job, but regular ed jobs are very hard to come by around here. The thing is that I will be able to bid on other jobs (say 1st grade) after I have been in a school district long enough to get some seniority.

Me too....and the thing I never thought to worry about is the thing that happens...so I try to worry about everything and hope none of it happens. Makes sense right

To me it does.

I'm even sort of like that when we go on a trip...I try to plan for every possible circumstance...or illness

I worry about everything...it's odd..but it makes me feel better to think of worst case scenario...so that I can feel more prepared.

My Mom is the same way, so I know what you mean. She doesn't like the "shock" of something happening.
