I saw the movie but I haven't read the book yet. Kinda backwards ..I know.

thats ok-but the book is way better. Much more descriptive and I think fills in those places you might have been going "hmm?" about in the movie if you didn't have the book as background

Our library is kinda sad too. I end up giving them lots of books I have bought and read cause they don't have them.

Mindy what do you like to read?

Historical fiction mostly. I love descriptive books that are based around real moments in history-particuarly around the Henry the 8th and Elizabethan eras.
I also love Anne Rice. I've read everything shes written.
And basically any book that can grab me in the first few pages I adore-like Da Vinci code and Angels and Demons by Dan Brown, White Oleander by Janet Finch and more recently the Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield. What an amazing book!

I didn't see the movie, Mindy! I was scared it would ruin the book! I loved the book so much!

well it certainly wasn't as good and left out a few key things in my opinion. And the chemistry between Audrey Tatou and Tom Hanks just wasn't there, which was sad. It ended up being more of a pat on the knee kind of relationship. Not right at all

I read a lot of mysteries -they are my favorite. But DH and I go to the book stores around here and wander around and I grab whatever catches my eye.

oh you will love it! No complaints here-I was riveted!

I haven't read too many mysteries but the ones that always catch my eye are the series with the cat-M is for Murder and so on. This cat is on every book. Do you know these?
