That sounds nice. :) I like small weddings. We got married December 2002. Just celebrated 4 years...seems longer and at the same time it flew by.

I know just what you mean. Is there anything special you do on your anniversary? My DH and I have gone to Red Lobster for the last few years. It's a little pricey, but we always treat ourselves on our anniversary and Valentine's Day. :goodvibes

Aren't you young to have been married twice ;)
I hope some of the differences have been good. :)

Yes, I'm way too young to have been married twice! :rotfl2: That's what happens when you want to move out and be on your own and get married at 21. :teeth: And let's just say that I didn't let too much grass grow under my feet before DH and I got together...it just kinda happend. ;)

And all of the differences have been GREAT. I actually believe everything happens for a reason, and I have learned from everything that has happened in my life. My ex was a great guy...just not the guy for me. He's the reason I went back to college and am getting my graduate degree.

Oh, I was just putting things into containers for the night, and dropped one of them.....the dogs loved it.

It isn't a huge deal, it was just haystacks, and they are a piece of cake to make, and I still have enough to take to work tomorrow. :thumbsup2
Haystacks are yummy. :)

I was a June bride. Well this time. November before, and well, that was a miserable mistake. :teeth:

We had a small wedding at a chapel and then honeymooned in Vegas. It was so cheesy, I loved it! I wish we had just married in Vegas at a drive through wedding chapel. Just so I could say that I did! :rotfl:
DH and I talked about running off and getting married in Vegas and not telling anyone before. :) They were giving us a ton of grief and I kinda wish we had too it would be a fun story to tell. :teeth:

The things we do for family. Now I get to guilt my girls into having pretty weddings. The oldest will run off for sure. No way will she be the center of attention in a room full of people. The youngest will want all the attention she can get.

Well everyone, I'm going to sign off for the night. DH just got back from his Grandpa's. It was nice chatting! :wave2: :grouphug:

Night

We had a huge wedding. We had 275 guests and we were married at our college. Our college used to be a Catholic convent so the chapel was actually HUGE and had a marble floor and stain glass higher from floor to ceiling in a three story area. It was beyond words. The organ was the biggest pipe organ in east of the Mississippi River and we were married in the late afternoon with the sun shining in through the stain glass windows...it was magical.

However, being still students at the time we were poor...lucky for us the chapel was so amazing in and of itself. We had simple white pew bows and one flower arrangement on the alter (and a unity candle). The organist, two soloists and even the pastor (it was a Luthern college) who married us all volunteered their time.

I think we had the most beautiful ceremony (not even just cause it was mine ;) ). It was truly magical.

We were married Labor Day weekend right after the start of our senior year of college. My mom had been on and off of life support for the preceeding three months and when she was finally well enough to attend our wedding we just went ahead and got married. It was very important to me that she be there at my wedding...more important then waiting and doing it "better" later. Turns out her doctors were wrong and she had far more then the "two months at best" her doctors predicted...she lived to see the birth of our son 11 months later (I was supposed to be unable to get pregnant...so it was a big surprise for us when we found out we would be having a baby that Thanksgiving). She also lived to see his first birthday. Sadly, she didn't make it to celebrate his second birthday.

All in all I would love to do that again in a heartbeat (with the same guy ;) ...but I also secretly dream of a wedding with just dh and I and a tropical breeze.

Oh and HELLO CHATTERS!!

Goodnight :wave2: Have a great evening. :grouphug:

Well Nic, I know you have usually turned into a pumpkin by now, and I don't want you to feel guilty for leaving, so I am going to go to.

Ok, well, there is the little matter of me being sleepy as well. :teeth:

I got an email saying you did but when I checked my box there were no new messages. :confused3 Just didn't want you to think I was ignoring you if you did send one.

Nic...are you and DH planning on going to WDW in Sept?

Well as Stephanie pointed out...I am going to turn into a pumpkin anytime now ;) . So goodnight chatters :wave2: It was nice to chat with you tonight Trisha :) and sorry to be leaving so soon Jay :guilty: .....Hope you both have great nights. :grouphug:
