So T...how are YOU doing?

Im doing fine but I have periods where I panic when I think about the future. I am an emotional person and everytime I go to the dr with dh I cry. His dr has started to cry with me because he said he cant watch me cry. I really do try not to cry but tears flood and I cant stop them.

DH is doing Ok, he gets exhausted easily now. He hates his diet but deals with it. We are praying his sis in law is a donor match because this would help keep him off dialysis.

My aunts could always make beautiful cookies!!

Mine taste good -- but look like kindergardeners made them!

Oh T!! Dialysis is so exausting. My uncle was on it for over two years... it really takes a toll. I so hope and pray you find a donor soon.

I have to tell you...I think the VERY best thing that ever happened to me was when I had a really scary bout with an auto immune disease...it really helps put life into focus. The good things mean so much more and the bad just really don't amount to anything anymore. At least in the long run. In the short term... :sad2: ISH...

Is there anything anyone can do? Any specific prayers needed? How are the boys?

Well my youngest doesnt really understand the magnitude of a kidney transplant. He is always asking daddy if his kidney is still sick. The oldest has been wonderful with helping. Right now he doesnt ask alot of questions but if dh starts dialysis before a transplant, Im sure anxiety will follow the questions.

Aww...that has to be hard for you to worry about the boys too. Are you guys doing anything special this Christmas? How old are the boys again?

Mine too!

'Twas the Internet Night Before Christmas

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the Net,
There were hacker's a surfing. Nerds? Yeah, you bet.
The e-mails were stacked by the modem with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.

The newbies were nestled all snug by their screens,
While visions of Java danced in their dreams.
My wife on the sofa and me with a snack,
We just settled down at my rig (it's a Mac).

When out in the Web there arose such a clatter,
I jumped to the site to see what was the matter.
To a new page my Mac flew like a flash,
Then made a slight gurgle. It started to crash!!

I gasped at the thought and started to grouse,
Then turned my head sideways and clicked on my mouse.
When what to my wondering eyes should appear,
My Mac jumped to a page that wasn't quite clear.

When the image resolved, so bright and so quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick!
More rapid than mainframes, more graphics they came,
Then Nick glanced toward my screen, my Mac called them by name;

"Now Compaq! Now Acer!", my speaker did reel;
"On Apple! On Gateway!" Santa started to squeal!
"Jump onto the circuits! And into the chip!
Now speed it up! Speed it up! Make this thing hip!"

The screen gave a flicker, he was into my "Ram",
Then into my room rose a full hologram!
He was dressed in all red, from his head to his shoes,
Which were black (the white socks he really should lose).

He pulled out some discs he had stored in his backpack.
Santa looked like a dude who was rarin' to hack!
His eyes, how they twinkled! His glasses, how techno!
This ain't the same Santa that I used to know!

With a wink of his eye and a nod of his head,
Santa soon let me know I had nothing to dread.
He spoke not a word, gave my Mac a quick poke,
And accessed my C drive with only a stroke.

He defragged my hard drive, and added a "Dimm",
Then threw in some cool games, just on a whim!
He worked without noise, his fingers they flew!
He distorted some pictures with Kai's Power Goo!

He updated Office, Excel and Quicken,
Then added a screensaver with a red clucking chicken!
My eyes widened a bit, my mouth stood agape,
As he added the latest version of Netscape.

The drive gave a whirl, as if it were pleased,
St. Nick coyly smiled, the computer appeased.
Then placing his finger on the bridge of his nose,
Santa turned into nothing but ones and zeros!

He flew back into my screen and through my uplink,
Back into the net with barely a blink.
But I heard his sweet voice as he flew from my sight,
"Happy surfing to all, and to all a good byte!"

(NOT BY ME...but anonymous)

The end of Jan will be two years since our move to FL. We have no family here but we all have made great friendships. We have only told a few of our closest friends here who have been supportive.

How To Confuse Santa Claus
Practical Pranks for Santa – Chimney Barbed Wire Cover...

- Dress up like the Easter Bunny. Wait for Santa to come and then say, “This neighborhood ain’t big enough for the both of us.”

- Instead of mile and cookies, leave him a salad, and a note explaining that you think he could stand to lose a few pounds.

- Leave a note by the telephone, telling Santa that Mrs. Claus called and wanted to remind him to pick up some milk and a loaf of bread on his way home.

- Leave him a note, explaining that you’ve gone away for the holidays. Ask if he would mind watering your plants.

- Leave out a copy of your Christmas list with last-minute changes and corrections.

- Leave out a Santa suit, with a dry-cleaning bill.

- Paint hoof prints all over your face and clothes. While he’s in the house, go out on the roof. When he comes back up, act like you’ve been trampled. Threaten to sue.

- Take everything out of your house as if it’s just been robbed. When Santa arrives, show up dressed like a policeman and say, “Well, well. They always return to the scene of the crime.”

- Throw a surprise party for Santa when he comes down the chimney.

- While he’s in the house, cover the top of the chimney with barbed wire.

- While he’s in the house, find the sleigh and sit in it. As soon as he comes back and sees you, tell him that he shouldn’t have missed that last payment, and take off.

- While he’s in the house, go find his sleigh and write him a speeding ticket.

- While he’s in the house, replace all his reindeer with exact replicas. Then wait and see what happens when he tries to get them to fly.
