So has anyone been to the movies lately?

I'm thinking about going to the movies today. I want to see The Holiday. Looks like a cute chick flick. I might go by myself.

But we're supposed to go into D.C. tonight for DH's office christmas party. I don't want to though, because it is a "black tie optional" event, and DH has no black tie and I have no formal frock. I even went shopping last night and couldn't find anything I liked. If we do go, I'm just gonna wear a church ensemble and I will be feeling quite dowdy next to the other ladies. So I hope DH says he doesn't want to go!

KAREN!!! I've been around. Just busy. Last night we went to dinner at Carrabba's and did some shopping. Thursday night, I just wanted to hang with the family. Plus my computer isnt acting very nice either so I didn't want to DIS on my lunch hour and keep getting kicked off.

I know I asked about the gift exchange recently and you all told me it was around long before me. Is it something I can sign up for and do next year? I'm confused.

I don't think it was around long before you. Back in October I asked if people would be interested in doing a Chatters Holiday gift exchange and everyone said yes. Jay said she would be in charge of it. She posted the announcement about the exchange every time she signed on for like 3 weeks. She announced the deadlines to have your info submitted to her (your name, address, things you like, favorite character, etc). That was on Oct 30th, I beleive. Then her DH helped her assign everyone a secret chatter. Gifts had to be mailed out by Nov 30th, I think.

Sorry you missed the announcements, Teresa. You can still come to the Chatter party on Dec. 12th at 9:00pm EST.

Next year if our thread is still around, we'll probably have another exchange.

Yes, and LISA is disappointed she missed all the announcements but she is definitely coming to the PARTY!!!
