No sodas, no sweets, no red meat, no rice, no macaroni, no corn, no potatoes, no tortillas, no butter/margarine/lard, no cereal, no oatmeal, no oil except olive, no salad dressing, no mayo, no barbecue sauce, no ketchup, no alcohol.........well, you guys know I didn't throw that out...........but it's gone now.

So you can have water and a carrot stick ........
for helping your DH stick to it.

HEY CHATTERS..did you see my FLU SHOT THREAD....go post on there...my family wants me to get a flu shot before the trip and I am scared to death to get one and I am reading allllll the responses..good OR bad...and then will make my decision.

I can't help you much there. I haven't ever had a flu shot and have been very fortunate ......I haven't had the flu in years.

I get one every year--the hospital politely demands it! My Dh gets one too.

Have you considered the flu mist nasal vaccine, my pediatrician said he thinks it's more effective than the shot, and my kids all got it this year.

No ill effects from anybody here, and I usually don't get the flu!!! I did have strep throat last year, but that was not flu shot related.

ME TOO...with the strep...I had it from (and I can tell you the dates, it was awful) Dec 12-Dec 24.....about 5 GOOD days after that and sick as a dog Dec 30-Jan 2 or so....my family was freaked...."K, you are so sick AGAIN"...

I got the flu shot last year because I was teaching and Drew's asthma. I was sick as a dog for a couple of months. I don't think it helped me much at all. I didn't get one this year!
