The day we booked our trip, DH looked at me and said "Let's try all QS places this time." He has never eaten at most of them since we typically have at least one ADR booked every day of our trips, and there are some QS places that he's had his eye on.
Ok, ok. So I agreed. I know he's great about loving WDW as much as I do, and I want him to experience things that he's never gotten to do. But no ADRs? Ugh.
Then, out of the blue last week, he says "Sci-Fi? That's a reservation place, right?" I asked him you mean an ADR? He said "Yeah, that Disney speak stuff for reservation." I told that him yes, we would need an ADR.
He got this thoughtful look on his face and said "Well, you should book one of those for there because I can't go to WDW without eating one of their burgers!"
My heart jumped for joy, and within 2 minutes of that conversation, I had the exact time and date that I wanted for our DHS day!
So skip forward a couple of days, and DH is looking at AKV info with me after we got our confirmation from the DVC owner. He was looking at Boma's breakfast menu and some pictures that I just so happened to pull up on the Food Porn thread, and he again asks "Is that another reservation place?"
After another explanation of the term ADR and another 2 minutes later, I had a confirmation number for Boma's breakfast for the date and time that I wanted.
Ha, ha, DH, ha, ha. Way to fall in to my ADR trap! I think those will be the only two we make, though. We're planning a day at WWoHP and one day just eating at F&W Festival.
But, I'm always looking for some new suggestions, so if you have any favorite items at any QS places, please let me know!
I love Casey's, Sunshine Seasons, and Flame Tree BBQ. I'd love to know of anything else that you think is a staple to WDW that I need to make sure we go to for DH to experience!
EDITED: DH wants me to add that he knows what ADR means (after he just looked it up) and he wasn't against any ADRs. He's joined the boards just to point that out, so we'll see if he figures out how to post. Haha.
