YAY    how awesome you got it!!

You made me think. I should take more pics with photopass, just to be sure I have something in case of an event like yours. Its free! makes for a good backup! Thanks for the tip!

So glad you're getting your camera back - that is awesome! Makes me realize I NEED to label everything!

Can't wait to see your great pics -

Details please.......who found it? Where?

I asked my wife to ask for the information but there weren't any specifics available that she was told from the lost&found person..
so at this point it's still an unknown very nice person..

I really wish I knew also, because I really do want to thank them..

[Evidently it might take longer than Thur/Fri because wife now tells me Disney's shipping it 'ground'.. *shrug* whatever.. I'm just glad :)]

Definite lessons learned:

1) Figure out how to backup a card or use multiple smaller cards
2) Always, always label your stuff
3) Use more photopass!
4) Persistently call lost&found

And.. you never know, might end up seeing weird pictures of people on the CF.. the lost&found CM didn't go looking through the pictures.. just id'ed one or two of the ones with the boys, so we know it still 'works'

These are the boys, by the way.. (older picture from 6/06) until we get the Disney ones :)

Just wanted to say Im glad you found your camera!
I can empathize. On our honeymoon trip (1st trip to WDW) we lost our camera, somewhere between our layover on the plane, then CBR luggage hold, then to our room where we realized it was gone, we had lots of photos from our wedding that our lousy photographer had not taken (like all my DH's family). The camera was never found. It had a blue embroidery of "BuyDig.com" on the front and was brand new....it ruined my entire trip. Disposable cameras just dont compare so we have only about 20 photos from our honeymoon.

You are so fortunate to have your camera back!

I am so pleased to hear the camera has been found. I have lost one camera, and also have a digital camera go mad and wipe the memory card. First instance I never found it, second, thanks to a wonderful fellow Dis member (DGH) I was able to recover the photos from the memory card that had gone peculiar. So I understand how bad it feels, and also the immense relief to when it does turn good, and you realise that you can salvage your photos.

Congrats again. Look forward to seeing those photos!

I'm not going to bore you with all the pictures, but needless to say, we got the camera back today :)
and everything was still working.. I immediately DL'ed and back'em up (178 pics)

Here's just a few that I found that were really nice..

Again, thanks for all the well wishes.. You can see why we woulda been sad that we lost some pictures

congrats! Disney is very good about returning stuff and I while the daily news might give plenty of evidence to the contray I think that most people are basically good.

And the moral to this story is: there are still some really good people in this world, those that found the camera, Disney for getting it back to you, and all those here that worried, prayed and sent pixie dust.

And Patience is a virtue we all probably need more of.

Cute kids. :thumbsup2
