The Loss of Randomized Characters

So, while DW and I were down in the World earlier this month, I started noticing a lack of actual characters. It wasn't that long ago that random characters (like Robin Hood, Launchpad, Hercules & Phil, etc,) would just hang out in the Studios by Crossroads or in and around Town Square or what-used-to-be Toontown Square...but all I have been seeing are scheduled characters....and the same ones over and over and over again. I asked about 5 CMs during the trip why I haven't seen any characters besides the Fab 5, Buzz & Woody, Stitch, Baloo, Chip & Dale, and the Princesses. All their answers were pretty much the same... They are no longer doing random character meet & greets unless it's a special event. I asked why, but there was no answer. I said "So the chances of me getting to see Launchpad McQuack are...." And the majority answer I got was "slim to none" or "highly doubtful." This is so sad...especially since just a couple years ago, there was still a chance to see some of these random characters just milling around.
