Oy what a day :faint:

Up and going by 10AM (not too bad)....
* stop at inlaws so they can give DD her present - diamond heart necklace  Yes, for a 6 year old...I swear the girls gotta better jewelry than mom
* off to Roger Williams Zoo in Providence RI - about an hour from us (we're members). We spend 3 hours walking around, looking at the aminals, letting the kids make use of their camera's they got for Christmas, browsing the gift shop - bought a magnet, 2 pencils, and 2 keychains to amuse the kids. We collect magnets from everywhere we visit and I like to get the kids fun pencils for school. Cheap souvies that help keep the senseless clutter down.
* Left zoo and went to the playground where both kids proceeded to run amuck for 30-45 minutes...where do they get the energy!!!
* home for a rest room break and off again  this time to do letterboxing. Never heard of it check out http://letterboxing.org/ and http://letterboxing.org/america.htm It's basically a scavenger hunt type thing where you try to locate hidden containers. There's no real prize other than the feeling of success when you find a box. I found about it from another DIS member and thought I would try it with the kids because it accomplishes several things.....we get a family outing that doesn't cost anything more than the gas to get to the location, the kids have to think - follow directions, count paces, choose left/right, figure out east/west/90 degrees, find a tree that looks like a V, etc, and we get to hike/walk/exercise new locations. They LOVE doing it and it can be a quick trip - 30 minutes - or elaborate long walks over an hour or more. Anyway
* Left there after finding 3 boxes, swung past my dads house to say hi
* stopped at BJ's for DH to pick up DD's roses. Daddy gives his princess roses every birthday - started when she turned 1.
* went to Papa Gino's for supper - yay, no cooking! :woohoo:
* stopped at Shaws for party goods for school tomorrow
* home again - made root beer floats and cooked 40 berry berry cupcakes/mini-muffins for her class for snack tomorrow (her choice)
* finally able to sit down, pop to aspiriin, and chillax for a little bit.

Boy, work will be a pleasant rest after today

Sounds like a blast IAHD!

Tricia, thinking of you and your son.

Morning everyone.

Morning losers.
Gonna be off in a little bit to take all 3 kiddos to the dentist. This will be interesting cause they said something last visit about taking an xray of #2DS's teeth. Last visit was his first visit.

Morning all!

Good luck to the moms with dr/dentist appts. I hope the 2nd trip goes well at the dentist. RV, your sons hospital tests have been on my mind all night! I hope they find out what is going on and it's an "easy" fix for him - meds/sleep patterns whatnot. I am amazed at what some of you parents have to deal with every single day and cannot praise y'all enough :worship: :worship: :worship:

Morning everyone.

DS6 & I survived our night of 5 hours sleep. He managed to hang on until 1:30am, so we slept until 6:30am. Not *too* bad considering. He is awake and alert (well... alert-ish), so our first hurdle is crossed. Those first few moments at wake up time he is at his biggest seizure risk.

Now I have to give him a bath (his hair must be shampooed just before the test) and hopefully that will recharge him some more. DH worked things out so he can go with me, so we'll be leaving around 10:30am... have lunch on the way down... then the test is scheduled for 1pm.

I hope everyone has a great day. I'm just looking to get through it and get it behind me. :)

Oh man--I am such a loser. I posted on the wrong thread--had more than one open in tabs:blush:

MN--you'd better post pics of your project so the rest of us losers can bask in your creativity!

RV--hope the night went well with 5 hours of sleep. Good luck today We'll say a prayer for you.

IAHD--what did you decide to send in for treats? Again, we need pics!

Just a quick catch-up before I send DS off to school. I think he's riding his bike today so I don't have to deal with all those people who drop their kids off and then sit in the line (one lane, no one can pass) until their little angel walks alllllllll the way to the front door. As if there aren't 20 teachers out there to make sure they get in the door!
I'm not bitter about it at all:rolleyes1

I think I'm gonna have to go to the gym today and I'm not looking forward to it. But I don't have a good excuse not to--crap. Right now, I need more coffee.

Sorry guys, no pics  AFTER making 36 berry berry muffins I realize that the back of the package states "may contain almonds, something, something, nuts, something" and DD is the one with a nut allergy in the class so when she woke up this morning I had to inform her that I had good news and bad news. The good news is I have 36 muffins she can now eat, the bad news is mom has to stop at Shaws and pick up cupcakes because she cannot bring her muffins in to school because of the nut factor. So not only did I stay up late last night cooking the darn things but I still had to go out and buy more/something different :headache: Hope the teacher doesn't care it's cupcakes...they did say IF we did cupcakes to make them the mini ones so she'll get to have them. And if any of the parents in her class are reading this, realize I tried but I wanted to make sure your child was safe and had to go another route :goodvibes

RV so many prayers coming your way today. I am gald DH could go with you.

IAHD that stinks! all that effort what a bummer

JJ  vent away we are here to listen

I need to clean up for the OT to come later today. The house looks horrible.

I've been in a bad mood for almost a week. I'm sick of it.

That time of the month??

RV-Keep us updated on the tests results!

IAHD-Maybe you should post that story on the "what I do for my children" thread....I am sure we will find another mom who lost her finger while making cupcakes for her child's school!:rotfl:

Back from dentist. Everyone did good, no xray for #2DS, but for #1DS instead.
After taking #1DS to school (almost left my purse in the car, but then remembered what happened to HRH (it was you right?) and grabbed it) went to walmart to get a few things and look at organizational stuff.
Now we are home & I might get some stuff done around the house.

Goodness, I just conked out on the couch for the last 3 hours. Going back to work after the long winter off has been killer!

This means I didn't get anything done at all this evening. I'm ready for bed, but I've got a hundred bijillion things to do first.

And someone has hijacked my stapler, which is making this paperwork task a little more difficult than it should be.

is it a red swingline stapler?

:lmao:

:rotfl: :lmao:

You TOTALLY beat me to that!! :rotfl2: When I hear the word "stapler" all I can hear in my head is, "I do believe you have my stapler"

Milton is the best! :lmao:

JJ, a good cry always makes me feel better.

This turned on the waterworks for me today.

Nah. The losers thread will ALWAYS come back from the dead. It's like we buried it in the pet cemetary or something.
;)

When my friends and I were like 8, we acted out pet cemetary. None of us had ever seen the movie, so we just guessed at what it was like...From what I remember it was hilarious! I remember we had a stuffed lion in the fire place that got out and attacked us! hahah I am going to have to go find the friend who taped it and put it on youtube-it will become a classic I'm sure:rotfl: :rotfl:

I love to LOOK at it....Its when I catch myself buying it, is when I am scared :scared1:

My husband just called to chit chat about his summer wardrobe?? No, I really don't care what kind of shirts you wear during the summer....:lmao:

It feels like that. I'm so irritable and I don't know why. But it's not serving me well. I need a better outlook.

I always feel better if I hit someone...well, not really, but it would be awfully nice if I could.
