Ok yall. My MIL has struck again!!

I told you I was paying bills. I get to the cell phone bill. Well, one of them. Hubby has an AT&T phone as do I, so that's one bill. Hubby also has a Verizon phone plus a phone for his 16 year old brother on that account.

I go to open the Verizon bill and nearly have a heart attack. I'm not kidding, it was bad.

Let me explain. MIL has had her phone turned off for a month or two now. So she's been using her son's cell phone (that I got him, that I pay for, that's on MY account). We have a 700 minute plan for the two phones. They used 600 minutes last month, costing me $235 in overages!!

Now that is crazy, and I am mad. Who the heck does she think she is, using up all my minutes and costing me a fortune?? Ooooooooh, she's going to hear about it in the morning.

I guess reimbursement is out of the question? Gosh, I'm sorry about that. I can't stand talking on any phone, so I can't figure out how people can use up that amount of minutes.

I am not much of a purse gal, and shoes have lost their appeal for me, so I fit in somewhere here.

Oh hey...I have a tip for the day...the Lysol toilet bowl cleaner, the extra strength stuff is awesome. It works without scrubbing. Just squirt it on and leave it alone for an hour (or more) and everything's nice and clean....or clean enough for it's purpose anyway.

Then I start to rationalize. Here's what I came up with besides the fact that I buy NO new clothes for myself.

$15 that I didn't spend at ULTA..even though I wanted to.
$50 new tennis shoes I passed on because my old ones aren't so bad if I
take the Tilex to them
$5 saved by using a coupon for ChicFila in the mall
$30 I didn't spend on gas to go to the Coach Outlet to spend the same amount of money on a Coach bag...but not retail
$20 I talked the manager into taking off the new purse because it had some "goo" on the buckle (got it off in 2 minutes at home)
$30 on the matching wallet for new purse that I didn't buy.
$210 the difference between the gorgeous purse I saw that I DIDN'T buy vs the one that I did..


This all adds up to a "FREE+" purse for me. Wanna see it?

It's OK if you dont' like the yellow..I like it..another rationalization-it is the same exact color as my car!! Totally unintentional, didn't even notice it until I got back in my car...I am weird. DH will think it's funny, so maybe he won't blow up about it!

Anyway, if anyone ever needs a good rationalization-I'm the one to come to !

I'm not a purse person. Call me wierd, but I'm not into purse fashion. I mean, I have a purse. But I don't get that thrill that most girls do when they see a high end purse. I normally go for nine west, or whatever's on the walmart rack.

DH bought me a "hot" LV purse and two wallets once. He thought I'd be so happy with them. I was like, eh, it's a purse. The LV wallets are still in the boxes in the drawer in the kitchen. They could be knock-off's, I'd never even know the difference.

Am I weird and un-girly?

If you are weird, I am too. A nice purse is the only splurge you will see on me. That's because if I get fatter, the purse still fits. I like NIKE tennies because they are light weight and feel good, but I will not spend more than $40 on them. That is the limit to my fashion conciousness. I could care less about Italian shoes, I like my ugly (ON SALE) Birks, in fact I don't know a Jimmy Chu Shoe from a Manlos Blah Blah... in fact, 75% of the time I am barefoot. The most I ever spent on a regular dress was $69 and that never happened again.

Try the "BAM" stuff - works awesome on cleaning the bathroom - spray stuff & the squirt under the toilet bowl rim stuff Only thing is you'll be in the bathroom acting like Emeril.......BAM....got that soapscum......BAM......got that shower head......

I have 700 minutes available for BOTH phones. That's not each, that's total minutes on the plan. How in the heck does she feel entitled to 600 of those minutes when I pay the bill?

She's calling everyone she knows, I guess. Her daughter, her mother, other numbers I don't recognize.

But that's just the way she is, she doesn't think about anyone elses needs. She NEEDS a phone, so she takes her sons phone that we got for him, doesn't matter that she's overusing it and I'm the one that has to pay for it.

If people knew what I paid in a month for phones around this place. Four cell phones, a home phone, a business phone, and a fax line. If you cannot get me, I don't want to be gotten.

Hi y'all, just checking in before I start marathon cleaning. I decided I am tired of being a pig, and maybe I can get a couple of rooms cleaned today to a reasonable level on the cleancom. I dunno, maybe not. I have a headache. I had a celebratory drink for fraggle's birthday lat night and I may have put a little too much peach scnapps in it. Tasted good to me. Where's my ibuprofen?
