The Long Journey Home! August 16th

Well, we actually slept in until 7:30! Got up, finished packing and loading the car, and ate at the McDonald's at The Crossroads Shopping Center. We then headed up a backway to Clermont, and after taking a wrong turn, ended up back almost to where we started from.

Saw some more nice neighborhoods, and then headed home. We took the scenic route through Lake and Volusia Counties to get back to I-95, and although it seemed like a round about way because it was new to us, it didn't take any longer to get there, and we actually made it home in an hours less time than it took to get to WDW!

We finally got home, safe and sound at 1 am. I am glad we are flying next time, though!

Only 61 more days and we will be back!!!

When are you moving to FL? I live in south FL and love it. We are ten minutes from the beach. We live in Hollywood, which is right between FT Lauderdale and Miami. WDW has soooo many great FL Res discounts and there are also lots of other great places to visit (Key West, Miami, Fernandina Beach-lots of romantic bed and breakfasts). Cruising is very affordable, since you don't have to pay for airfare.

We will be at AKL labor day Weekend
and at ASSP Vet day weekend

We are planning on moving next June after DD finishes 3rd grade. We will be taking a couple more trips to find houses, so we bought AP's so we can go into the parks while there and make the trip more fun! It is so good to hear how much people like living in Florida. It has always been my dream!

Great trip report. Thanks for posting. Good luck house hunting. I'm envious of folks who can drive to WDW and at times regret that we moved from south FL years ago.
