Ho that was indeed real time. Todays tugboats almost all have water tractor or nozzle props. These all basically give a tugboat the ability to turn the prop 360 degrees, making the tugboat highly effective.
That or Kortz nozzles which increases the maneuverability of the tugs. Either way I think there was a little pucker factor on the bridge of the ship and tug, as it looked like the tug got wedged between the bow and the pier for a moment before she started to make some headway.
I'm kind of obsessed with the Panama Canal right now, as I'd like to so a PC cruise for a landmark birthday in a few years, and I've read the new locks will use tugboats instead of mules to keep the ships centered in the locks.
