The Little Couple

I love the show. Watched last night as they were talking about their new house and I can't for the life of me understand why they need 20+ foot ceilings in their living room.

The same reason normal size people need them, because they like them?

:lmao:

I love tall ceilings, too and I'm 4'10!!!

I've only watched the show twice, love to see people shorter than myself for once!! They're cute but her voice drives me crazy, like nails on a chalkboard. I have a lot of admiration for her, though, she never let her size limit her.... sort of like myself! :thumbsup2

As for "perks" most perks are advertisements on shows like this, the companies offer the merchandise for the publicity. Of course they'll enjoy them, I just hope it doesn't change them.

His job sounds kind of ambiguous, I wonder if the company hasn't signed a release? :confused3

I've tried and tried to watch this show, but I just can't.. Why? Jen's voice irritates me - like fingernails on a chalk board..

I know it's not her fault - and they seem like a nice couple - but due to that voice I just can't watch the show..:(

I've only watched a few episodes. The husband always seemed a bit smug for me. Then I saw his new look on previews and decided he went "Hollywood' for sure. I can't blame them for accepting freebies. It's good advertisement for companies to get their products on the air.

I really enjoy this couple and also Bethenny & Jason (Bethenny's Getting Married?) they seem the most down to earth...I like that they all seem to really LIKE each other

That's easy to answer. He married his meal ticket, a doctor. I love her I think she is great him not so much.

I don't think that is a fair thing to say. Many relationships have a disparity in incomes between one partner and the other. It assumes an awful lot to say he married a meal ticket.

And my comment was more in jest. We see Jen work all the time. Perhaps it is more interesting than what he does. I just don't know why we don't see more of it. Perhaps he just prefers it that way.

I know I'm in the minority but I really like Bill. I think he's funny and he seems to really love Jen.

I like Bill, too. They just seem genuine and appear to really care for each other.

Thanks for the link. It's interesting, and not that it matters what I think, but I really don't believe he "married his meal ticket."

I agree. I know that he owned his own home in NY before he moved to TX with Jen, and had the above mentioned before before they met. I don't understand why some people would think that just because Jen is a doctor, that Bill married her for that reason only. :confused3

I think they are (and were before the show) successful in their own careers. As for the new house, they should design it however they want and can afford it. The high ceilings are super popular, so if that's what they want then why not have it?

You are welcome, I don't believe that either. He had his own business. They both seem successful. More power to them. I love how they show how things can be adapted to help them in daily life.

My dbf has Cerebral Palsy so to show the world any accessible technology makes us happy!!

I enjoy the show, and really like both Bill and Jen. And his new look - I actually like it! I know, I know, I'm in the minority here.

One thing I really enjoy about the show is how analytical both of them are, and how intelligent they seem. Jen has a gift for taking a complex topic and making it very approachable, and yet you don't get the sense that she's talking down to whoever she is addressing either. :thumbsup2

Bill...he strikes me as a smart-@$$; I like that. :lmao: I don't know what he is like off-camera, or in the cuttings that end up on the editing room floor, but what I see on the show strikes me as someone with a wicked sense of humor. :confused3

I don't watch the show often, but from the few clips that I have seen while browsing, it seems like a wholesome show. Hopefully things continue to stay that way for them.

It is wholesome, and I guess that's why I like it. I noticed that Tuesday will be the season finale. Hopefully there will be some great news on the baby front by next season.

I hope they do get their baby wish. They would make awesome parents.

If they have a baby, whether on their own, through a surrogate or adopting - won't they need to have a full time nanny? I mean, assuming that the baby will be average size won't it be too heavy for them to lift? I'm just thinking about how much trouble I had getting my kids out of the crib, into a high chair and lugging car seats everywhere. :confused3

Yes, they will have a full time nanny. They mentioned this fact when they first started looking for a house (that once they had children that they'd be having a live-in nanny and would need the accomodations for one).
