I just have to say that out of all the "realiy" shows out there, this one has to be my favorite. I'm watching the repeat of the pilot now. It's nice to see a "normal" couple these days!

I'm watching it too. The only thing that bugs me on new episodes is all they did was show them buying stuff!

That's true, but I guess the new house is a huge focus for them. I hope all goes well for them with a baby, too.

I like them too - but have seen a major difference between the first season and the second season. It almost seems like the fame is going to Bill's head...I really hope it isn't. So many reality families were great until they turned into professional actors. Like Jon & Kate to name one...

I really hope not because what I like about them is the realness.

Love the show. I am thoroughly impressed with jen's career. I wish I had a better idea of what Bill actually does for his work. I'm
kind of glad they never show them bickering.
I don't know if that is reality. But it is refreshing.

Bills new look is bad, in my opinion. The goatee or whatever does NOT fit him well.

I know it may have him trying to look young, but it just looks silly.

I agree - that was my first reaction when he showed up like that. Jennifer is very down to earth and you can tell that her heart is really in helping others.

I really enjoy Jen and Bill, it is great that they don't let anything stop them from having the life they want.

DH and I watch this show and admire Jen very much. Bill's ok too. LOL

I think that Jen has such a wonderful sense of who she is, and she displays dignity and class. Not only is she extremely intelligent, but she's also extremely caring and charming.

I'm VERY happy for both of them, and don't begrudge them a thing that may come their way due to their "celebrity"! :cool2:

This show has already "jumped the shark" so to speak.

It was great to watch the first season and see how they get by, but then it has been freebie after freebie it seems.

Okay, well I know Jen's a doctor and Bill works in some business, so they can afford to travel and the house, but I have to wonder as a doctor who also is head of a simulation center, how she can seem to get so much time off to run to whever and have a DESIGNER custom gown made (not just a tailor made gown by a seamstress in Houston or whever they live) and then go to New York for custom made shoes. I seriously doubt some of these things are paid for by them.

I respectfully disagree.

When you are the size of Jen it is very hard to get clothes and shoes that fit. I can definitely see her wanting to get things that fit her correctly. She is a doctor that does lectures and is the head of a center so I could see her having a little money to be able to buy these things. I am sure the show pays them a salary as well.

For all we know they could have flown to NYC on a long weekend. I enjoy this show. They have their own careers and don't rely on the show for money like Jon and Kate did. I admire both Bill and Jen.

I've noticed the same thing about Bill. (Although I think he was probably always a bit smug) It's just more evident now, with him growing the goatee and dying his hair blonde. The whole new look is kind of skeevy IMO. On the other hand, I love Jen and admire her so much. I especially love her sense of humor and laugh!

I kind of think that the general consensus about Bill IMHO is that Jen is too good for him. She is so good and he seems to be a little bit stuck on himself and the fame has gone to his head. Again I too wish I knew what it is he does for a living.

As to Jen getting custom clothes...what else an she do and shoes are even harder. Did you see the size of her feet. They just do not make adult style shoes that small! Bill mentioned once that being little they had to pay an astronomical price for their clothes. I am sure that they would love to go to Marshalls and buy off the rack but it is just not possible. I wonder if there is an on line site that specializes in clothes for little people?

Since my dd was a preemie, we spend a lot of time in the Neno unit, similar to where Jen works. Dr's don't work "9-5". They are generally "on duty" for 24-48 hours straight. (They have a sleeping area in the hospital, if they have time to sleep/nap.) So, they do have several days in a row off, not a 2 day w/end like most working folks. Bill runs his own business. He can schedule his work/off time accordingly.

That's easy to answer. He married his meal ticket, a doctor. I love her I think she is great him not so much.

Chloe Dao, the designer who made Jen's dress (and winner of Project Runway), is from Houston where Jen and Bill live. Her clothes are actually fairly reasonably priced and Chloe has a location here where she does custom gowns. There probably was a "deal" on the gown but it wasn't like Jen flew to Paris for a custom fitting with a coutierier. I think they mentioned in the show that the shoes were offered to her by the designer who made them. I think that Jen has a difficult time finding shoes that fit - especially nice ones since she usually shops in the children's department.

"Bill owns his own sales, training and telecommunications business in New York, which makes for lots of commuting and long-distance phone calls."

That's all I get..

That's exactly how I feel about it. For one thing, I think it brings a little more "education" to the rest of the world about their condition. I just like how they seem "normal." And really, with a show like this there will be "perks." I do find it amusing that some of us here criticize for them taking the perks, yet we continue to watch the show. I think it's fine and this show is better viewing than some of the other stuff out there.

I love the show. Watched last night as they were talking about their new house and I can't for the life of me understand why they need 20+ foot ceilings in their living room.
