What really happened:
Days 1, 2, 3 June 12, 13, 14
On the way down, the car started cutting off, but it would start back. It did this several times. As we approached the Georgia line, it cut off and would not start. We called the Ford Roadside help line and they gave us some numbers for a tow service. It took about 2 hours to finally get to the hotel. Once there, I requested 2 nights since we knew nothing could be done on Sunday. We grabbed as many drinks and snacks as we could get reach, along with our bags and made it our rooms. Sunday was slow, but we made the best we could with it. At least we had a Denny's in the parking lot, we had a pool, and a race in TV.
We had the wrecker pick up DH and car at 7:30am and headed to a Ford Repair shop. We got everything out of the rooms by noon and set it by the camper. It started to rain before I had time to move it. We covered the suitcases with towels, then I remembered a tarp and dug it out of the camper to cover our stuff. We got very wet. DH finally made it back about 1:00pm. It rained off and on during the rest of the trip. Once we got to Ft. Wilderness, we were starving. We headed to Trails End for dinner. Food first, set up camper next. DH's sister and family were there eating dinner too. We talked a little and ate. The rain started again. We hurried back and set up the camper in the rain. We have a tent for the boys, but it was too late and wet and we were tired. We made up the beds, set the alarm and passed out.
Day 4 - June 15
DH and I were up before the alarm. We made coffee and then got ready for Chef Mickey. We woke the boys and left them with tickets, money, and instructions on the transportation. This was DS#2's 10th trip, so he was familiar with how to get to each of the parks. We rode the boat to the Contemporary. It seemed so strange to be traveling alone. We met my parents in the lobby area. We caught up on our adventures and waited for DS#1 and family. It wasn't very long before they turned the corner. My grandson (Graham) just turned 2 and is our pride and joy. He ran to us laughing. We went right in at Chef Mickeys. The food was very good and the characters all came by for pictures and autographs. We left Contemporary via monorail for MK. We waited just past City Hall for SIL and family. Once they arrived, we set off for Tomorrowland. We rode Buzz, TTA, then I got FP for SM for BIL. We walked to the Teacups. DH, my mom, my stepdad, and I sat this one out. We went to Mickeys Toontown. It was beginning to get hot and crowded. We went through Minnies house and Mickeys house. BIL and Lindsey rode Goofys Barnstormer. It was getting lunchtime for some, so we split up. DH was not feeling well, so he and I went back to Ft Wilderness. He took some medicine and then took a nap. When he woke up, he still did not feel well. We set up the tent for the teens and placed all of their "stuff" inside. DS#1 called to ask us to meet them at EPCOT. DH still did not feel well. His sister was nearby, so he told me to go ahead. I met DS#1, his wife, and my grandson at the stroller rental. Graham was asleep, so we headed to Mission:Space. I stayed with him and sent them to the ride. It took about 30 minutes. About 5 minutes before they got back, he woke up totally confused. He was crying for MOMMY when they returned. We headed toward World Showcase and he started asking for french fries. I knew we could get them at the American Pavilion, so we quickly headed there. Once he got the french fries, (and ice cream after that), he was in a better mood. We found a good spot to wait for Illuminations. DS#1 bought him the lighted sword and he played with this while we waited. He enjoyed the fireworks, but did not like the loud noises. Once Illuminations was over, we swam with the crowd toward the front. We went to our bus stops. There was a very, very long line for FW. Once at the Outpost, I ran into the teens and we rode the internal bus back to our stop. They had gone to MK earlier in the day, and then Downtown Disney for dinner at Wolfgang Puck Express.
